For me, the only really important extension is Session Manager.

 

Every must have extension for me has already been mentioned plus a few more I have picked up. Although this is not a must have extension it is one that I find useful especially when a bunch of tabs are open.

Memory Fox has done wonders to lower my memory consumption.

 

Has anyone seen/tried this add-on which is, supposedly, an anonymizing proxy service to stop Google's tracking "tendencies"? Could be a "must-have" for many if it works?

I wonder if it does more than you can get with Noscript and Adblock Plus. Noscript blocks Googleanalytics, Doubleclicks and the likes, and the ABP filters do the rest. And I block cookies by default, of course, with Cookie Monster and allow them only for selected sites. Google doesn't belong to them These measures should definitely be sufficient.

 

Found this extension: 'PlacesCleaner'

It's better than 'Vacuum Places Improved' IMO as it also has an option to delete useless entries.

I really like "Devious Green" theme for FF. Very easy on the eyes. Recently
updated to version 0.08, and good for 3.6.2 now.

Memory Fox contains a tricky malware: AFOM.exe(C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\l84t8ef9.default\extensions\{E173B749-DB5B-4fd2-BA0E-94ECEA0CA55B}), not yet detected by most AVs except PrevX and HitMan Pro.... Be careful! It keeps on logging into an unknown server even if FF is shut down. It prevents Scheduled AV scan to do its job on my system. I removed it.
