Re: ~ Do You Use A Registry Cleaner? Recently tried Glary utilities, seems kinda good. Specially paired with CCleaner
Re: ~ Do You Use A Registry Cleaner? None, I have run Windows fine for years without any registry cleaning, of course I don't really install and uninstall new programs to that extent, just basic programs and upgrades.
Re: ~ Do You Use A Registry Cleaner? Yes, of course. I'm sometimes using Tune-Up Utilities, once a week CCleaner and Eusing Free Registry Cleaner.
Re: ~ Do You Use A Registry Cleaner? Same here... System Tuneup... but the current Tuneup Utilities is a let down...
Re: ~ Do You Use A Registry Cleaner? I voted no as it can cause more harm than good in most cases! And when I need to uninstall a program I use Revo Uninstaller with advance checked and it finds the left overs in the Reg keys which is good enough for me! TH
Re: ~ Do You Use A Registry Cleaner? Still using jv16 PowerTools 1.3 (1.3.0.195) for incursions into the registry. Also, sometime Registry Mechanic, Glary Utilities and RegSeeker.
Re: ~ Do You Use A Registry Cleaner? Way too many yes votes. At least use ERUNT first. Does anyone have any hard data on the difference it makes? I didn't think so.
Re: ~ Do You Use A Registry Cleaner? I'm using Tune-Up and CCleaner. Tune-up have a good GUI and many essential tools, Ccleaner is a good cleaner and It's free
Re: ~ Do You Use A Registry Cleaner? Right now using CCleaner only, got rid of all the others xD that i was testing
Re: ~ Do You Use A Registry Cleaner? I have several registry Cleaners on my Old desktop running Windows XP. I use CCleaner everytime I get off the internet, update or try a new software and then after uninstalling it. At least once a month I wipe the free Space with CCleaner. I also use Glary's which finds some things left behind and also has a Windows File checker, and other tools. The registry defrag is also good on Glary's. Tune Up Utilities works great on all those left over registries that are still left behind and for clearing out those restore points, as well as for checking hard disk for errors and is great for shredding files and recycle bin quick. I also have win utilities that I use but have been wondering about lately. There seems to be an upgrade every day and since I got it free via Softpedia eventhough it is a professional version it wants to install the Ask toolbar. Some might think this is overkill but it seems to keep this dinosaur computer running good. Now My labtop that has Windows 7/64 bit seems more like a pain and I think it has a lot of security risk. I am still trying to figure out half of what I have running on it and if I need it. Anyways any thoughts on Win-Utilities Professional?
Re: ~ Do You Use A Registry Cleaner? I used to use Jv16, Regsupreme and Ace, but stopped using registrycleaners.
Re: ~ Do You Use A Registry Cleaner? Since I have Windows 7 installed I don't use any registry cleaner.
Why not? Doesnt hurt keeping things nice and neat (Im sure you clean your desk drawers out now and then!)
