No it is not, because it is a beta. But the final 1.1 release will have it :)

What am I supposed to do with files I know are malicious, but are not detected as 'suspicious' or when they are executed? There should be a function to send the sample for analysis.

Yes many people are asking for this. In the meantime you can send it to virus@pandasecurity.com.

When I mentioned the conflict with MSTDefrag, I had the entire drive where I had my browser cache excluded but when I looked with Process Monitor I could see PCAV accessing the files along with MSTDefrag, so it appeared to be scanning. This only happened with Internet Explorer and IE based browsers.

Yes, its a recent install. But i have also done an optimised scan and a full system scan just after the install. So shouldnt files be cached?

I hav just scanned the quicklaunch folder and its contents manually (via context menu option after removing them from Exclusions). After scan, added them to the exclusions list, but quicklaunch still freezes for a couple of seconds when the taskbar arrow is clicked. CPU doesnt spike though but disk load does (just a tiny bit), & Panda still reads the contents of the quicklaunch folder (hence the freeze).

PCA is removing spywareblaster.exe says it Neutrilized but its not in the recyling bin.

if it neutrilized shouldnt it be placed in the recyling bin?

    A Question Pedro!

Will PCA get an HTTP traffic scanner (Web-antivirus some call them) to block access to the website before one is able to download the malicious file/content?

    Thanks

Yes. I think this should be addressed as well, pbust. I can confirm this behavior. 'spywareblaster.exe' is deleted, with no way to recover. I think the default action for Neutrilization should be sending to the recycling bin, whether it be malware or suspicious files. OR adding options in the advanced settings to change default actions so user can choose whether to automatically delete or not. Just my two cents. :thumb:

But, in any case, the beta is working flawlessly for me, other than off-course the problem i mentioned before. :)

    Cheers!
    Ned.

Not sure about what I am supposed to do here. I cannot delete the quarantined files manually, since Panda is using them... but I can't find them in the recycle bin either. Hence, I have trash files on my desktop which I cannot delete. I have rebooted the computer, no luck there. The files do not appear in 'history' of the detections in PCA either. I can't right click on the files and delete via the 'Panda-options'. Nothing happens when I do that.

Any solution besides booting while pressing F8 to start in secure mode and delete?

Guys, if you click the link "Can't find what you're looking for" it will open a list of quarantined/deleted files. You should be able to find the file there. Not everything is placed in the Recycle Bin.

Well... not using this personally, but - WTH is wrong with the old concept of quarantine? Why do people need to have junk scattered across various unpredictible places like this? o_O

Yes. Having all suspious files and deleted/neutralized files in one single place (ie Recycle Bin) is a simpler solution. :)

Just observed a weird behaviour. (see screenshot)

Is Panda blocking VLC because its forced sandboxed in sandboxie? Coz when i disable sandboxie, and open a video file thru vlc (unsandboxed), this same behaviour does not occur.

@Brocke, @shadek, @arjunned, can you please send me both the Windows "Nano" event log as well as Panda Cloud Antivirus report file:
    * Run "eventvwr.exe" and export the Nano event log into something.evt.
    * From PCAV, export the report into a .txt file.

Also if you can send me the original file or URL that you downloaded/installed so that we may try to replaicate this, would be very helpful.

As some of you mentioned, this is not normal behaviour. These files should be listed in the Recycle Bin.

Not in the plans in the short term, at least not for 1.1.

this is where Trends Micro Titanium is going be one up on Panda, and maybe
Immunet Protect, right out of the gate. Immunet still may have one.

    Ok Thanks.
Though, I really hope that it will be added sooner rather than later:)

Since as we all know that Prevention is better than cure.
Meaning it will Prevent the download if PCA is able to block access to the site.

I guess you are talking about the (web-antivirus) Http traffic scanner?

Here is another glitch. I've installed the program in English. I use english as language in Windows 7. But yet PCA is in spanish when right-clicking a suspicious file.
