dropped any real-time AV ... defensewall personal firewall covers everything for me .... sandboxie (auto-delete and Dropped rights enabled) makes it more solid. Sandboxie is untrusted in defensewall ... anything sandboxed (browsers,IM,email client, media players, office, pdf readers etc.) would run inside defensewall's protection as well.

Mamutu is very light, and is great for morons, you can set it to let the wisdom of the cloud answer the popups silently in the backround without popups.

    I wasnt trying to....

    Oh nevermind.

Jmonge has it set up for paranoid mode, but I wanted something quiet that was improving the security net. Mamutu behavior blocker beat out Threatfire in that regard.

I've just formatted my Thinkpad X41 with Win 7 Enterprise (got a free enterprise license. Sweet!)

    I'm using the following:

MBR Guard to protect my boot.
    AntiARP to prevent ARP poisoning.
Zemana AntiLogger to prevent some more data theft. (I also like SpyShelter but it crashes my Win 7 don't know exactly why...)
Immunet Protect with Ethos Protection set to Off (Don't trust Cloud Antivirus all that much and Panda Cloud makes my system much slower)
GeSWall to sandbox stuff that connects to the internet.
SandBoxie on demand (Sandboxie Service set to Manual. I don't use it that much)
HostsMan & PeerBlock to block potentially dangerous IPs and URLs.
Tracks Eraser Pro to keep my system clean and tidy (CCleaner just doesn't do it for me anymore...)

I'm missing a good backup tool but my HD is only 40Gb and i can't afford to fill the empty 10Gb of it with backups. Any suggestions on this? I have only an extra SD card with 2Gb. EDIT: Anyone tried AyRecovery?

I also use Opera as my only browser and email client. (can't get enough of it!)

BTW, my system has only 512Mb RAM and it's running nicely.

If I can hear your opinions on my security setup, that will be just great.
