ESET 4.2 SS causes BSOD when going to sleep

I get a BSOD on three different machines with Eset 4.2 SS running on Win7 x64 when they go to sleep, is there any patch or a resolution for this problem, I see that I am not the only one

 

Could you please provide a minidump from BSOD so that we have more details about the crash? You can post a link here.

I've same problem in Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bits

 

Could you please upload the minidump created at the moment of BSOD, upload it somewhere and PM me or post here the link to it? It'd be great if we receive dumps from you immediately if you encounter BSOD; this way you could speed up the whole process of pinpointing the issue.

Well, infortunelly i coud not send you a minidump because i use CCleaner and as you know it cleans that.
I'm using version 4.0.474.0 without problems, so i'm going to wait for a new version of eset to see if the problem disapears.

If it helps i can tell you that i've installed version 4.2 of EAV and no problems at the moment. So i think that is a problem of ESS.
As i tell in another post, with ESS 4.0.474 i've not problems too.

I'm having the same problem too. Multiple systems running ESS 4.2 on Windows 7 32-bit. When trying to sleep they BSOD about half the time.

Behavior: Press power button to enter sleep mode, screen fades to black, but system stays powered on with HD access, fans, wifi led, etc all on. After about 10 minutes the system abruptly powers off. On reboot the system does not resume but instead does a fresh boot. Windows indicates a serious error occurred and generates a minidump.

I've uploaded a few minidumps to sendspace whcih i've attached here. They all indicate it's a network card driver issue, but i've made sure all my machines are running the most recent windows 7 drivers from the manufacturer.

Any advice would be appreciated! In the meantime I'm going to try to uninstall and use ESS 4.0.474 instead. thanks

 

After installing 4.0.74, were you able to replicat the issue?

 

I uninstalled ESET completely and installed Microsoft Security Essentials instead, and the sleep has been working fine the last week. I'm going to try to install 4.0.74 in a few days and I'll then report if the sleep issue is fixed

 

I can confirm that the sleep issue is gone with 4.0.74

 

Having a similar issue, any news on a solution?

 

What version of the software are you running? 2 or more revisions have been made since this issue started. Please try going to the latest version and get back to us with your results.

Downloaded 4 days ago, so should be the latest one. Not blaming Eset, have not enough evidence. Need to see the content of the mini dump to confirm what caused it. But just wondering if others had similar issues.
