Domain Name System Switch Over

This is suppose to happen on 5 may, 2010. As an average user I don't know what this is going to do to me so how about some of the intelligent ones on here en lighting us not so brainy ones. Here's an article on it. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/04/13/dnssec/

 

If ppl are so worried about DNSSEC, best to switch over to DynDNS. For now they're the only free DNS provider who are ready. OpenDNS, Google DNS are yet to make the transition.

It really only applies if you are running a DNS server. Even then, it is designed for root servers to only respond with DNSSEC if requested in the lookup. In other words, if your ISP doesn't use it, the root server responds in a the normal way. This is expected to change in a year or two after this deployment so unless you have some ISP that does strange things with DNS lookups, you shouldn't see any problems as an end user.
