Free online scanners?

    The ones from Kaspersky, Eset, TrendMicro to name some.

    By "work" I mean a scanner program that does not just scan and report, but one that will allow you to remove files you do not wish to have.
    I should have made that a bit more clear so it would have been easier to understand!

    Those listed in the thread you give :

    Panda and Symantec's Norton won't remove (for free) - just scan (for free). Kaspersky is temporary out of the game with the online scanner.
    I would recommend Kaspersky SOS or Kaspersky's AVP utilities

    Wow Emsisoft had an online scanner?
    I never knew it :blink:

    Good to know there are some vendors that offer free removal :p

    I prefer, F-Secure Online Scanner. Good detection and also removes malware for free.
    There is always Trend Micro Housecall, probably the first online scanner. Its scans and removes, but its detection capabilities are so-so.

    Noob, used to be on the main page, top left. Doesn't seem to be linked to the front page, or anywhere I could find on their site.
