Under Advanced Options/Email Clients/Actions/Action to perform on infected email-Move email to folder-Infected Items I don't see any folder in Thunderbird named Infected Items. I just installed NOD32 version 4.2.40.0 AV and using Typical installation, but what about that folder? Should I change the action, create a folder Infected Items, or leave as is?
Hi JVM, The quarantine folder isn't created until a threat is actually found. This might also be the case with the "Infected Items" folder. BFG
Since it relates to email, I was thinking there should be an Infected Items folder in my email client, or my having to create that folder. But, there are other choices for an infected email and maybe there is something better than that folder option.
You do not need to create any new folders on your machine, this is a default option. From the Help File:
Hi JVM, To check you could send yourself an eicar test file, available here. See if that folder is created by the program as soon as the file is detected. It was for me using Outlook. BFG
Hi JVM, See if this will get the email to you. Temporarily disable the AV protection, download the file, create and send the email, enable the AV protection, open the email. BFG
