note:i can see PE Guard as hips program :) and i think combining it with WinPatrol Plus and a solid firewall will be a killer combo :) what do you guys think?

    Well,

I think PE Guard has to develop a filter, which only focusses on vulnerable registry and file locations. Then it would be a power application.

    Regards Kees

Seems to be a problem with the paths being displayed in the Guard window; Paths run off screen, can't see tail of it.

Is their a .log of selections/actions you have made?

From what I can tell, it is not compatible with Win7-32bit, at least not build 7100.

PE Guard does not alert on cookies when they are written.

Does PE Guard watch the memory or the disk?

No it doesn't watch either of those. Also, there is incomplete parameter parsing on NtWriteFile that can result in a BSOD.

This was an interesting venture that certainly appeared to have some potential, but its development has been dormant since October/November 2009 - even though Opaida had indicated that development was moving forward. One would rationally have considerable reservations about employing a security app whose developer has essentially disappeared....I do...

Has anyone heard anything from Opaida...o_O...

    1) comodo without D+
    2) SSM - only the application rules
    3) MD - the network and files protection

Well, that is good news indeed. Have you seen any indication of alpha or beta versions for V2...? Or any comments on what the improvements are or will be...? While I am sure that many folks will appreciate the small footprint and low resource demand, one may appreciate "demonstrable efficacy" even more so.
