I don't think there is a case of one being better than the other. Personally I don't like "sandbox" type programs like Sandboxie, but that is just a matter of preference.

My point was that if you are in Shadow Mode with SD, then Sandboxie seems redundant to me. Any changes done to the system won't be kept anyway, so you don't really need Sandboxie in that case. I think running both is not needed and a waste.

    Network: Linksys WRT54GS / Tomato / WPA2

    My computer:
    XP-SP3:

    Real-time:
ZoneAlarm Extreme Security (Super Scan, Scan When Reading and Writing)
    ForceField On

    On-Demand:
    A-Squared (On USB drive)
    SuperAntiSpyware
    Avira
    MalwareBytes AntiMalware

    Browser:
FireFox ( NoScript, WOT, ShowIP, along with various other "handy" stuff such as ForecastFox, FoxyTunes, Smart Bookmarks Bar etc.)
    Chrome
    Opera

    Other:
    Virtual Box
    Panda USB vaccine

    ADDED: Purchased SandboxIE.
Now I just need to figure out everything about it :D. It will mostly be used for Chrome, Opera and Utorrent.

Not redundant at all. Sandboxie protects/isolate your program from any processes in realtime. :)

you won't be protected from keyloggers during shadow mode.

OK, but if you don't care about keyloggers (as in you aren't typing in cc numbers), then Shadow Defender will protect you just as well, if not better than Sandboxie. A simple reboot and anything you've done or anything that has gotten in, is gone.

I notice ThreatFire does slow downs some programs like 1 sec.
A example is Chrome now it takes 1 second more to open, but i can live with that :D
    Will continue writing observation

ok the word IDS mean intrution detention system in what way they are diferent or same?or what?thanks

    IDS: intrusion detection system
    IPS: intrusion prevention system

The fact is that these two sets of words are too general, many programs claim to be a IDS or IPS. And in fact they well could be an IDS or IPS, but because that two sets of words are so general it hardly says anything about the program. That's what you see here. Mamutu and Winpatrol Plus both have the abilities to detect intrusions, but they are different in every single way.

Loaded VirtualBox, but could not get it to create a Virtual Machine.

After Macrium Image Restore, I reloaded PeerBlock, but not ThreatFire.

    I have added SandBoxIE.

I see you have a Firewall plus LUA/Surun. Im looking into some form of both.

Also I am looking into other System Virtualizers like Returnil, TimeFreeze, Shadow Defender, Time Machine, Geswall.

Perhaps manually tweaked System Hardening, as well.

    Plus Password Managers.

Want to play with Proxomitron next.

Work in progress, I guess. Slowly but surely.
