Grab Text off a Webpage.

Many times I need to grab a paragraph of text off a webpage, sometimes it works OK but now and again, 'only' the whole page highlights for some reason,
which I don't want.

I tried taking the page but only as a .jpeg which then I can't recover the text off of course, Irfanview won't make a text file of the Clipboard.

Now I have downloaded a little Freeware App., 'Web2 Text', has anyone used it enough to say if it's good enough to do the job ?

Otherwise can someone please advise if there is an easy way, on XP, to grab 'bits' of text off one of these 'difficult' Webpages without going via the Cape ?

( Just checked using FF and 'grabbed the text without problems', thanks GF,

Hello GF - Yes I was hoping that something easy had arrived on the scene
over 12 months but this App. I mentioned may do the job, I only downloaded it until I get off the net.

Items such as this below, note the text only for the first review, I can't grab it for some reason and strike the same problem ongoingly via IE, will just try FF.

Thanks Tobacco - Looks as though GF mentioning Browsers had me wondering if FF could cut it, it did, hopefully always.

 

You could also check out EverNote. It's the best free application for grabbing web content that I know, but it's on the heavy side; 40 MB installer and requires you to create an account.

 

That's think'in Micro - more than one allows cross-reference. This is which version IE? Nogo with & without addons enabled?

 

IE 7 GF - I did try a few Add-ons over time but they didn't seem to be
any help so I dumped them.

FF's Add-ons appear to do their jobs but in this case FF didn't need any,
I just highlit the paragraph and copy, good, wonder why the diff. between Browsers.

Thanks for the possibility Pajenn but there would have been two problems.
Too big for a tiny job and I try to steer clear of registering or accounts.

 

I questioned 'cause addons sometimes run interference. Eliminate the variable - narrow the potentials. FF you'd already proven.
