XP Smart Security - thread 2

Thanks for closing the previous thread when is was unresolved.

None of the previous suggestions or linked in forum posts work.
In short this is starting up even in safe mode and is blocking installation of anything like malwarebytes and blocking access to online based scanners through the browser. can you advise a resolution that works please?

so in short... ESEt did not catch it, and will not provide support for removing it.
the methods you can suggest from others do not work...

I thought you needed help removing malware. The referenced volunteer sites do a great job helping people

 

An AV, any AV, can only help remove malware it knows about. Malware is constantly mutating in order to avoid being detected and AVs are constantly developing new detections. We don't have a say in the above but what we can do as users is to reduce the ability of malware to come on the machine. Simply in browser blocking scripting , both activex, java and javascript, for all zones except Trusted zone will help greatly in reducing the possibility of malware being able to fight with an AV for dominance. Yes it is annoying if the AV of choice does not catch some malware but no AV will detect all. If there was one the could then all others would go out of business. Until then help yourself.
