@yoda1953,what do you mean by winpatrol been a nice watchdog?any malware related experienced?or recomendations?thanks
i also have winpatrol on/off but can not recomend as a realtime watch dog:)why cause when i tested with malware it fails most of the time,i consider full hips a real watchdog(system wide)and trust me on this one i tested all software i have evry day with the newest and nasties malware

Well I mean it looks over things in the background.
Haven't tested it with malware yet in a VPC.

I use it just as precaution on my real PC and it has several nice features like Winpatrol explorer, so I can oversee some things happening on my real PC.

But for that I also use ProcMon and ProcExplorer and such.

For risky stuff and such I only use one of my VPC's or of course sandboxIE

I have found that KAV and PC Tools Firewall Plus are an excellent combo. Been running them together for ages now and no issues.

Actually the current Online Armor can also be installed in x64 but it's limited; go to the OA Forum to find out how.

Mine is almost the same. Prevx 3.0.5.113 and Defensewall 3.0 RC2. No Winpatrol...although that could get added later.

My weekend setup usually changes often as I have time to play around with new stuff. During the week work cuts into my computer time.

I am surprised that Jmonge wasn't the first one here with RC2. I would imagine that is what he is running.

    Vista SP2, does online banking

    - Avira 10 free
    - Winpatrol paid
    - Keyscrambler paid
    - Sandboxie paid
    - Shadow defender (use occasionally or when i decide to visit bad sites)
    - Windows firewall
    - MBAM + SAS (they are used as demand scanners but I've the registered version, should i place them on real-time protection or would that be overkill?)
    - openDNS
    - WOT + Lastpass for chrome
    - Spywareblaster

Is this build okay? Any suggestions for other products?
I was thinking if I need more HIPS? or put in some outbound protection?
But at the same time trying to keep things light.

No you are pretty well covered with what you got. SAS and Mbam I would leave as on demand scanners. Just my thoughts though.

You probably don't need any more HIPS (Sandboxie and Shadow Defender are fine). You could try MBAM realtime, but with all the things you already have it may slow down your system.
