I am proud to say that after reading a lot on the internet and with the help of friends here on Wilders I managed to make a dual booting system. Thanks to all who have helped me.I am writing this post from Kubuntu while updating the system. Now I have a lot to do,printers scanner etc. but that is not urgent,I have a lot of time and a lot to learn.I sure will be asking new questions.
congrats cet. enjoy your linux experience.remember things wont be as easy for you initially.you have to be persistent and that pays great dividents in the end..
Always be aware, its not Windows and there is a learning curve that pays of well later in case you manage to stick with it.
Congratulations! Next project for you is to triple boot or even quadruple boot. I use Gparted Live Cd as a tool to multiboot Windows 7, Ubuntu, openSUSE and Fedora Core. Cheers!
bravo cet you did the great job would you like to share with us how you do it because it will help other newbie user to give your link i mean it would be more helpful if you give few feedback from newbie point of view to doing it what you find easy and what you find little difficult and how you did it
I am writing what I did on paper to remember it.I will do it for my parents PC too. They only use their computer for internet surfing and e-mail,so Kubuntu will be enough for them.I will be glad to summarize what I did later on.I would love to help the others.I had never used linux before and this is a very good experiment to show others that Linux is not something to be afraid of.
