Well, if they go for license fees, something will change. SCO is a patent troll. I just wonder where they are getting all this money for litigation because they filed for bankruptcy.

Just wondering what kind of jury they have .... I mean.. come on!

I can't see the average person even being able to comprehend the arguments for or against..

 

One of the problems with the American justice system. Juries making decisions on something they know little or nothing about. That's why lawyers always try to pick people who are clueless on the issues of the case, hoping it will give them an advantage.

 

You are absolutely correct, this kind of case is too technical for jury or even the judges, this needs a special court and not a regular one.

 

That's what I would think (special court) but who's going to push for that? Who actually 'could'?

Seems Novell should or the unix community at large .... ?

This is waaay too important- it's not traffic court ...geesh.

Though I can't believe SCO is getting bankruptcy protection
while they are tryin' to basically steal Novell's intellectual property..

Thank God! This is great news. Perhaos SCO will die already (though people have predicted their demise before, yet they keep on keepin' on thanks to M$'s money).
