    Hello all,
We're pleased to announce that we've officially released build 3.0.5.104 of Prevx with SafeOnline. It should be released out for update within the next few days to existing users, but users can manually download the upgraded version from:

    http://info.prevx.com/downloadcsi.asp or http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=prevxcsi64 if on a 64bit OS.

The change log over build .85 is: (most of these have been mentioned before already in previous threads, but I'll summarize them here :))

    - Added Japanese, Russian, and Portuguese languages
    - Added support for Opera v10.50
    - Improved DNS server protection
    - Added the ability to exit out of compatibility mode by changing configuration back to Maximum (and rebooting)
    - Added support for importing UTF-8 encoded string data
    - Fixed some issues on Australian/New Zealand installations
    - Fixed support for IE7 and Chrome trying to access Java at the same time
    - Fixed a stray issue that could cause Firefox not to load properly
    - Fixed compatibility with "KatMouse"
    - Moved the "Authenticating Files" configuration into the GUI rather than overriding it at the code level
    - Fixed a couple inconsistencies between the trial version of SafeOnline and the fully registered one
    - Numerous improvements in Enterprise support
    - Improved self protection on the Prevx keyboard protection
    - Fixed an issue analyzing some specifically malformed registry hives at the raw level
    - Significant user experience improvements while in trial mode
    - Improved keylogger protection - kudos to MRG for their research assistance!
    - Added detection for BufferZone on installation to warn the user that they are installing within a sandbox
    - Added IE/Chrome/Opera support from within a BufferZone protected instance
    - Fixed compatibility with hibernation and audio drivers
    - Improved Enterprise installation speed
    - Added automatic scan log creation under Enterprise
    - Fixed some compatibilities with NIS 2010
    - Fixed a periodic incompatibility with Avira
    - Added automatic credential protection when a new password is entered
    - Added the ability to customize the positioning of the browser tab on a per-browser basis by opening the browser clip and dragging it
    - Improved Opera 10.50 compatibility
    - Improved support for unattended installations with license keys
    - Fixed a crash reported by Page42
    - Improved the speed of the installation
    - Added a module to automatically protect credentials as they're entered
    - Fixed an issue coming out of compatibility mode under UAC
    - Improved resilience when reading license details
    - Improved self protection
    - Improved generic protection for kernel level keyloggers in SafeOnline
    - Improved compatibility with NIS
    - Fixed a few stray incompatibilities with other security products
    - Fixed an issue installing on PCs with corrupted proxy settings
    - Fixed a logic issue applying detection overrides in the trial version
    - Improved compatibility with Google Search
    - Added logic to block files in realtime in the trial version if specifically configured by a bank
    - Fixed the opening of browser links within the GUI to open with the default browser
    - Improved browser compatibility with multiple Chrome instances
    - Improved stability when resuming from hibernate

Please let me know if you find any issues! The current areas that we are working on are:

    - 64bit SafeOnline will not integrate into Chrome or Opera
    - Some users are having issues with Opera and correctly verifying IP addresses/reading the URL from the browser
    - A periodic issue reading pre-existing proxy settings properly
    - An issue showing the tab on Chrome instances opened from a shortcut on Win7

Some items we will be adding in one of the next releases are:
    - Increased time delay before taking the uninstallation message off screen
    - Add protection of stored credentials when copied to the clipboard
    - Continue protecting clipboard data from a secured website after the browser is closed

Thanks again for the help, support, and input! Please let me know if you find anything or if I've missed anything in the above lists :thumb:

I'm just guessing that your OS is setup that way and if you download it and install it will install your language!

It still shows "Release Candidate" in the GUI. Is this how it is supposed to be?.

Did you download from here? http://info.prevx.com/downloadcsi.asp or http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=prevxcsi64 if on a 64bit OS.

If not it is OK to Keep the version that says "Release Candidate" in the GUI as I always do it is still the same Build but when there is another RC you will be able to update to that version without the need of installing the RC!

Bold area is just my personal preference but you can download and install the OFFICIAL RELEASE it is up to you! ;)

If you really want the OFFICIAL RELEASE you will probably have uninstall Prevx reboot and install the OFFICIAL RELEASE from the links above, again that is your choice! ;) The language thing it is better until we here from PrevxHelp (Joe) to see what's up because I use the English version only but would like to know for future reference! ;)

Hi Joe I did a fresh install of Prevx 3.0.5.104 RC and I was wondering what this key is doing there as it`s not mine? Does it come with the installer and if so why? I can send you a snapshot if you want to see it!

    BSOD with v3.05.104

Stable PC, played fine with v3.05.85. Uninstalled that version, reboot. Installed v3.05.104, reboot. Ran a full scan - result clean. Reboot.
During the reboot before login screen, warbling sound coming out of PC speakers (Realtek Audio) then BSOD (RDR_ERROR)

Never had a BSOD with this PC before, nor with Prevx.

See hwere "sound card issues were dealth with in this release, possibly to my disadvantage?

I have a few PCs that cannot afford random BSODs, ... please advise.

(more details ... Win 7 x64. After full reboot MS action center troubleshooter associated the crash with a wireless LAN driver. THe device is an Atheros adapter which also installs a MS virtual wifi miniport adapter as an additional network connection - at a loss here.)

Just went into device manager and tried to auto update the ms virtual wifi miniport adapter - which should check windows update too. A warning pops up saying not from valid authority. Try installing the MS version manually and it says not from a trusted authority - that doesnt sound good....

Hope I didnt get some nasty malware ...

    Ummm help? lol.

We removed the temporary area of which was causing an incompatibility with some sound cards, so I doubt it is Prevx which is interfering, but if you could send a minidump (one of the files in c:\windows\minidump) to report@prevxresearch.com, I'll gladly take a look and see what the cause is :)

That's the normal default trial license key - not to worry :) It just enables malware detection.

Could you try uninstalling Prevx and then reinstalling directly from http://info.prevx.com/downloadcsi.asp ? If that doesn't trigger the language selection dialog, let me know and I'll give the commandline parameter to run the language selection dialog :)

    .
Can't say why it didn't auto-update. In my case I didn't wait - I opened the Prevx window and clicked the "check for updates" link at the bottom.
