That's why I am disappointed. Many other programs are adding sandboxes, hips, behav blockers, web scanners, "cloud" features, etc. even in their free versions. So for me, there doesn't seem to be much new to see here.

Anyone having problems updating it? I downloaded version 10 security suite and the VDF files are dated march 18th, Update says there's no available update.

Thanks for the heads up. Downloading the premium version just now!

    edit:
tried it: no proactive for x64 OS yet. Nothing seems to be new, just a prettier face, back to nod32. sorry.

I wonder why firewall is not pre-activated in Avira Premium Security Suite 10...? When i have installed premium security in WinXP machine i found that by default firewall is not pre-activated...Even Windows firewall was de-activated automatically during installation process...

Does anybody else faced this issue?

Tried it on a spare vista laptop,

Won't install properly on top of a current v9. Removed and did a clean install.
Very long startup time an high CPU.
High idle use of ram. +30MB

Is this the Final or a RC version o_O

Warning: Softpedias version is only the RC version, meaning it has glitches. This has been confirmed at Aviras official forum!

This is by design (for inexperienced users). When running a complete system scan by clicking in Control Center or using the pre-defined profiles in Scanner, AntiVir uses the default parameters for some settings (so AHeaD is set to medium, ...). Yet, parameters like Extended Threat Categories, Archives, ... are the ones that the user defined.
If you want to use all your configuration settings, use the shell extension by right clicking on what you want to scan and selected Scan the selected files with AntiVir.
You could also make use of the "Manual selection" profile or user-defined scan profiles by creating your own profiles. These will respect all your configuration settings.

Also please note that like Leo2005 said Avira is not yet officially released.
