The best one I've seen yet and works perfect in Opera 10.50 and I like that we can move the Tab where we want it now and have full info now in the tab!

Thanks for your hard work Prevx Team! :thumb:

    Re: Release Candidate: Prevx 3.0.5.98

    Hi
    thank you, just downloaded.
I have a couple of questions:

    1) May I install it over my current PREVX Safe Online?

    2) since I'm using PREVX Safe Online 3.0.5.85 for facebook fans, shall I loose "facebook fan" license informations as well or this Relesae Candidate has the same features?

Another question: are there any incompatibility issues with WOT for firefox?

It happened to me to right click a link only in order to check WOT reputation and PREVX Safe Online "thought" I was on the point to visit it hence I was prompted to opt . I clicked "No" and firefox shut down.

I would have preferred that potentially dangerous websites were only blocked without closing the main browser (just my opinion)

    Sorry for my english

    Thank you in advance

[EDIT] Windows 7 Ultimate Edition 32 bit - GData antivirus 2010 - MalwareBytes' AntiMalware pro 1.44 - PC Tools Firewall Plus 6 - Winpatrol 2010 - Sandboxie- both UAC and Windows Defender real time protection are disabled

    Excellent. :D

Works well. The only thing missing for me is the protection of confidential data entered by copy/paste. :)

    Re: Release Candidate: Prevx 3.0.5.98

Well, I installed PREVX 3.0.5.98 over my previous PREVX Safe Online given away to PREVX facebook fan: license has been kept:)

No crashes, no system slowing down to report.

I only noted that PREVX RC doesn't recognize www.google.it in Opera 10.50 (even if I type www.google.com Opera will change google.com with google.it), while for example wildessecurity.com in another tab is verified and recognized.
I rebooted, and opened again Opera 10.50 with no results.

I haven't still tried to right click into an embedded "malicious" link to check WOT compatibility (as reported in my previous post).

(I'm sorry, my Windows 7 and the most of software I use are in italian)

Could you let me know if you use a 32bit or 64bit OS? SafeOnline will not currently fully integrate into Opera on 64bit OSs.

    Thanks! :)

I'll take a look as to why this is happening - it is likely that WOT may be loading part of the website behind-the-scenes which could trigger SafeOnline, although it ideally shouldn't try and step in unless you are actually visiting the page.

    Re: Release Candidate: Prevx 3.0.5.98

    Hi Triple Helix,
    I'll reboot twice to check.

Here is google.it in firefox 3.6, do note that Google IP is different here:doubt: and I get " IP not verified" as wello_O

Perhaps I had not a good idea to install PREVX 3.0.5.98 over the previous 3.0.5.85.

I'll make you know as soon as possible.

    Thank you
    Thank you so much:)

This is likely just because the google.it IP address isn't in our whitelist of known Google IPs. I'll see what we can do to get it added :)

Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit here.
    -----------------

I also use a laptop with Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit
If you want I can test PREVX 3.0.5.98 even in my laptop where PREVX Safe OnlIne 3.0.5.85 is installed and works fine both with IE 8 and FF 3.6.

    Re: Release Candidate: Prevx 3.0.5.98

    Hi PrevxHelp,
I rebooted Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit (Desktop PC).
Since PREVX RC still didin't recognize google.it (and google.es, google.de as well) within Opera 10.50 build 3296, I tried to reset PREVX Safe Online RC..... which stopped responding and then shut down.

Hence I rebooted again, I reset PREVX Safe Online RC with no results: PREVX Safe Online seems to refuse to recognize and verify google whitin Opera 10.50 from Italy.

My Main browser is Firefox 3.6 + WOT + Adblock plus
My security programs are: GData Antivirus 2010, MalwareBytes' AntiMalware pro 1.44, PC Tools Firewall Plus 6, WinPatrol 2010 and sandboxie 3.44.
I use Acronis True Image home 2010 too.
My system is fully up to date, I do not use P2P programs and download managers.
    I'm under a router.
I use Google DNS because of issues with DNS provided by my ISP

    Hi PrevxHelp,

the *.twitter.com/* pre-configured protection doesn't work, Prevx SafeOnline Browser Tab is blue, i have to add http://twitter.com/ to make the Tab green.

It wouldn't be green unless you add protection to it as it is HTTP traffic not HTTPS which would automatically be protected and green! Try this link to PayPal and it is green https://www.paypal.com/ because of HTTPS traffic!

but why *.facebook.com/* pre-configured protection is green?
http://www.facebook.com/ is not HTTPS traffic, and Prevx SafeOnline Browser Tab is green.

well have you got pso from facebook offer for i don't have facebook pre configured in safeonline settings......? that might be a plausible explaination for it being secured.

    Re: Release Candidate: Prevx 3.0.5.98

let's look at *.myspace.com/* 、*.bebo.com/* pre-configured policies, hxtp://www.myspace.com/、hxtp://www.bebo.com/ are not HTTPS, and Prevx SafeOnline Browser Tab are green.

I did get my PSO from facebook offer, but I think it's not about the PSO where I got, it's about the pre-configured policies protection not consistent.

    Re: Release Candidate: Prevx 3.0.5.98

When a policy is configured or a website manually added to protection, it will turn green. There are two different green states - one for HTTPS websites, and one for other websites.

A normal, unsecured website will have this tab:
    HTTP.png

A secured, non-HTTPS website will have this tab:
    securedHTTP.png

A secured HTTPS website will have this tab:
    HTTPS.png

Let me know if you're seeing anything differently! :) (kaspersking - I suspect this is an incompatibility with your Opera installation. If any other Opera users can let us know if Prevx is correctly identifying URLs, that would be very helpful :) We may need to make a manual adjustment for our URL identification with your installation, but in general, it should follow the three states above).

    Re: Release Candidate: Prevx 3.0.5.98

I'm using Opera 10.5 as my default browser and it's behaving with Prevx completely as expected. In fact, this Prevx release seems to have cured the random crashes I've experienced with browsers recently.
I don't seem to have had the issues with positioning of the Prevx tab that others have reported either.

    Hello all,
We've released a minor beta update (details in the first post :)) - I'm keeping it in this same thread to prevent users from having to re-subscribe :)

Good you got it! If you keep the RC even at final as I do it will always autoupdate to the latest version if there is one during a scan or the click on Check for Updates!

Hi Triple Helix. Can you explain what you mean? How does one keep the RC at final. RC means Release Candidate? I'm just wondering why PrevX 3.0 has never auto-updated for me.
