Which is a slight contradiction to what I observe in your setup - you have Malware Defender, which is anything but simple. Also, it implies you don't trust DefenseWall alone to protect you?

Or perhaps you like having Malware Defender to analyse foreign software you are executing as trusted? If so, that is risky business. It is well known that HIPS mechanisms can be bypassed if you execute foreign software that could contain malware. Better to do that kind of thing in a sandbox and/or Virtual Machine!

No software is completely bug free. DefenseWall is no exception. When software becomes popular enough, there will always be people who find bugs with it. Why do you think Ilya hasn't released the final version of DefenseWall 3 yet?

I trust no single program. MD will catch anything that might get by DW. KAV for known threats. MBAM to back up KAV, plus I like MBAM's IP protection. I arrived at my system after a lot of experimentation over the years. Not to say it won't change. Dumped Outpost after a lot of compatibility issues. My system now runs really fast. Everyone has their own preferences and trust/paranoia levels. No I don't purposely try to infect my system in the way you describe, but I am confident I am safe wherever I travel on the Internet.

Exactly. Except to be more clear, the reason is because people are still finding bugs. And they will continue to do so even after it is released as final.

I find that is exactly the case with Sandboxie. Tzuk does his best to fix as many bugs as possible while in Beta, but people will still continue to find bugs even after the final version is released. I don't find any problems, but if there are thousands of people using the same software, some proportion of these people will eventually find bugs.

Trust me, your system would run even faster if you took out a couple of those apps. Mine is running blazing fast, and I am very confident I am safe wherever I travel on the Internet.

You don't appear to. From what I've seen so far, I've been on these forums for about 24 hours and you've changed your setup twice already.

What exactly are you testing I wonder, and for what purpose exactly. It's okay, you can say your main reason is that have nothing else to do! I'm just curious.

So the one that really/truly protects you is DefenseWall. That's the only one that gives true protection? Really?
