Any reason for doubting that statement? As it is right now, the above quoted stands :isay:

It's just that this was also said: "We strongly encourage any member that has not submitted a contest entry because of the email requirement, to enter the contest", so that does look like the contest is still open:isay: :isay:

Is there any advantage/disadvantage to choosing more/fewer prizes? What I mean is there are some prizes which I really want and others which I wouldnt mind winning. Would entering the draw for more prizes reduce my chances of winning the one or two I really want? Or are my chances for each prize independent of each other. Thanks.

There is no advantage to choosing either more or less products in your contest entry.

Essentially, we'll be holding a separate drawing for each product that is available. Everyone that enters for any given product has equal chance of winning that product regardless of how many products they chose to attempt to win.

    Hi there,

I think if you are using an paid/premium email account which also involves identification, it should be handled the same way as you entered the contest with an ISP email address!

So i. e. if you submit the giveaway form with an ISP OR paid/premium email address, you will able to get all prices, otherwise most, but not all..

    Is that good? :) :-*

    regards,

    iNsuRRecTiON

It's unfortunate that SUPERAntiSpyware is_not willing to contribute to the giveaway.

Don't assume that any company was not willing to contribute. We actually had additional offers, and still other developers we could have asked and received licenses from, but, we chose not to have competing products in the giveaway.

hi.....correct me if i am wrong (though most of times i am :p ) if a person enters the contest for two products and someone else enters for 7/8 products the latter has more probability of winning something .....so has an advantage....a definite advantage it seems

You are right, but, only because we structured the giveaway as separate and equal drawings for each available product, which was the point of my answer above.

Had we structured this as a drawing of members who entered the contest, and then gave a random assignment of prizes to the list of winners, then it would make no difference how many prizes a member selected a chance of winning.

The context of the question was whether entering for multiple prizes reduced a members chance of winning the specific one they wanted most. By example, I enter for both ABC (which I want most) and XYZ (which I like, but, not as much), if the XYZ drawing happens first and I win, does that mean I've lost my chance to win ABC? The answer to that is no.

    What a great idea!
And thanks for a great forum. I haven't posted much, but in the years that I've been silently reading the forum, I have learned a ton(ne), and have fixed many a problem. It's always my first place to go when I have security concerns.

Congrats, many thanks, and good luck for many years to come!

Edit: Okay, when I said I hadn't posted "much" I didn't realize that this would be only my 2nd post. And I may have joined in 2009, but I can't remember how long I've been lurking.
