Got to be something on your end bro Conflicting, I have it on 3 laptops and 2 desktops no issues across a variety of hardware. Might be worth looking into or contacting them to find out what might be causing the issue.

Not really worth trouble-shooting. Peerguardian works for me,while PeerBlock doesnt work,so in the end, peerguardian stays :D

Sounds like a conflict or registry setting has some left over junk entries. You should be able to run both PB and PG2 on the same system. Of course you can't run both at the same time. I would uninstall both, reboot, run nCleaner install PB 1 without PG2.

Got Peerblock to install and work properly.

The fix was uninstalling Windows Steadystate and using Returnil instead :D

Guys, what would you recommend for 32bit XP SP3, PG2 or PB and why?

Peerblock is a Offshoot of PeerGuardian 2 its more up to date and has some bug fix's. I would recommend using Peerblock first as it gets updates, and fall back on PG2 if it don't work for your system.

No issues with Windows 7, but I had to change my P2P Client software. Darn it!

Same here. It crashed my system twice. First time I went to the Safe mode and uninstalled KeyScrambler because BSOD told me there was a problem with one of the KS's components.
Then I uninstalled PeerBlock and reinstalled it, allowed it in Online Armor, DefenseWall and Zemana AntiLogger, but after every restart I got this:

I might try peerblock, on Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit, PeerGuardian would load fine and everything but no matter what I did I just couldn't get it to update, I tried for a few days and even went back to a clean install image to test it, nothing. - So hopefully PeerBlock works better?

Yes is a beta but i recommend you use the betas of peerblock are completely stable I have never had anny problem with the betas.

PeerGuardian is outdate, Peerblock is a fork and will run in win7 without any problem

A new version of Peerblock's beta is available.

Has never conflicted for me, works fine.
Regular list updates are available :thumb:

I am running PeerBlock (was recommended over PeerGuardian2).

However, Opera Mail Client is being blocked from Google Mail.

    Otherwise, good so far.

Solved the Opera Mail Client issue by removing BlueTack Spider list.

    All Good.

So does peerblock conflict with any firewall or http scanner of an av? Is surfing speed affected much? And how is the ad blocker component (compared to something like adblock plus of FF)?

Thinking of giving this a try.

Adblocking is not its main purpose. Peerblock is full IP Blocker..
it has list of IP addresses of adservers if you enabled it... then of course the some ads wont show.

it does not conflict with firewall or http scanners.

I started trying Peerblock (portable version), and so far it seems to be working great.

Peerguardian was a pain in the neck. Literally!
