Testing PCA now. Pretty ok. Although fast scanning is really slow

 

After the first scan the second scan is much quicker

It is not malicious and other AV's should not detect it.

Was supposed to have been, but I still had the problem and from my reading of the PandaCAV forum others still had it.
I noticed that when it happened to me the check box 'let Panda manage....' etc had become unchecked and it would not accept me rechecking it.

 

try this use the PCA uninstaller

http://www.pandasecurity.com/resources/sop/Cloud_AV_Uninstaller.exe


then reinstall PCA latest Version

http://acs.pandasoftware.com/cloud/CloudAntivirus.exe

That hopefully will solve your issues.

Did all the .dat stuff too

 

what OS are you running?

What other security programs do you have running?

 

Vista HP 32bit
PrevX+SO, MBAM free on demand (nothing else)

It happens without PrevX
I had the beta of CAV on its own for a while but......
Tried again on release of final & then again at 1.0.01
I am sure it is one of those oddball config issues

On the basis that nothing is going to be 100% -
I figured that the lightest set-up I was going to get would be PrevX/SO + PandaCAV

I might look at a very light install of Avast free

please post in the support forum for PCA the Admin who work for panda will be able to help more because ive done all what i can.

make sure you tell them what you have done so they know not to ask for you to do it again.

I'm gonna try this. I'm only interested in seeing how signatures get distributed to the cloud and what keeps certain parties from committing ones that for example work in favor of their company like as DRM.
