Norton's SONAR-2 is way too sensitive, but in case of Avast, i have no words. Even they detect non malicious files as malware on the basis of their signature database.

Can I get a List of the Non Malicous Files so I can Avoid any Problems?

This isn't a reply from an avast! associate. Their forum is very hard to keep on top of due to the large volume of posts, but the posts I have read from members actually associated with avast! have always been professional in my opinion.

The last FP I experienced with avast! 5 was during the beta which is to be expected. I haven't used Norton since the mid-nineties so I can't compare the two.

You mentioned earlier in the thread that you changed many of the default settings; perhaps that was not a very wise thing to do in hindsight. I think every A/V will generate false positives and if you tell it to delete files without prompting, you'll eventually have something deleted and regret it later.
