What about Norton 2010?

    go build/buy a great new pc for urself and norton used to be really bad earlier in terms of speed but lately they have improved a lot

    I have a simmilar machine to the OP, (with nvidia BFG 9800gtx+) and I use NAV 2010 + LnS.

    My machine gets used for 2 things and 2 things alone;

    1 - Games (right now ModWar2, Mass - Effect 2)
    2 - Masturbation

    I can safely say that even at times of tension and exitement NAV has never bothered me. I mean what could be worse than when your about to shoot, all of a sudden you see a big red notification telling you to STOP.

    (referring to gaming of course)
