Thank you pajenn and Saraceno for the links.
I'm a bit behind versions. Will have to update.

    Same. :)

I just downloaded from the Opera link. Gives you the option to install right over the previous installation.

Version - 3248. MG website might have another test build, not sure.

Good find pajenn. Just installed the majorgeeks version, it's beta 3257.

Avoid 3260 snapshot 'cos Tools -- Preferences --- Advanced tab is corrupted as stated as a known bug.

    Stay with 3257:ninja:

Yes can confirm this and went back to 3257. Was just about to upload a ss also!!
I wonder why, from what I've seen, it will never update through help>check for updates? It always says(?) you are running latest version despite new build being available.

It seems that auto-update/check for updates is for final versions, not for beta and snapshots.

Finally - this is the Opera Browser ive been waiting for.

love the new GUI, it maximizes screen-view and looks very fetching!

also, the speed is awesome and the smoothness of simple things like scrolling is crazy,

i pray they dont change the design of it, as i really disliked Opera 9/10's massive over-complicated toolbars that filled a big portion of the screen.

i will definatly give them feedback on this,

Finally..... the OPERA ive always wanted! :D

also - Ive been using their mobile browser beta1>2 for quite a while on my blackberry and that is awesome, probably why ive been waiting for a good pc version of the opera desktop browser for sometime.

Not any warning, just my recommendation:p

Anyway, new snapshot build 3261 released today. This build is fine and revert to using the old bookmark .adr format which means that your previous v10.5 bookmark .ini format will not be recognized in this new build.

Other than that, this build 3261 is worth updating and happy beta testing:)

New snapshot is 3263 now, actually Opera is on a daily build schedule, improving it day by day and even adding speed tweaks to an already fast browser. All the more better for us.

Is there an expected, or approximate final release date for the new 10.5?

No. But you can assume it should be quite soon given their push to throw out that many snapshot updates, even on Sunday.:p

You can always spoof the user-agent in Opera, it's site-specific & the only way to render some pages with Opera. Much as I love Opera I can't see it ever being as fast as SRWare Iron. Iron is even faster than K-Meleon on my platform. It is supposedly faster than Google Chrome as it doesn't have to report back to Planet Google all of the time. I wouldn't know as I have never downloaded Chrome. The only thing it doesn't have is better control over Javascript. Opera & KM can be set up to easily toggle JS on/off. I believe this is being worked on for Chromium however.

No problem. I reported a bug I came across, through the following link:
    https://bugs.opera.com/wizard/

So if you find one that isn't mentioned on the forums etc, list your problem and someone (developer) will read it.

See this thread if you want to add or remove certain buttons from the browser, configure it how you like.
