the 4.2 shows that its id, which for testing, will be expired within a month.
does it mean there will be another beta version released?:p

most likely, plus if not they will just extend the license.

but [MOVE]Beta 2[/MOVE] should be coming out for Windows

My bet would be that next build will be final version.
Judging from the past, that was how evolution from v.3 to v.4 (only one beta a.f.a.i.k.) happened.

But this time maybe ESET takes on different course, who knows ;) ...

if next version is RC1 or final, v4.2 would be so buggy. just like when 4.0 final came out; ESET had to release over 5 - 7 new builds to fix up many many bugs. look through the changelog of 4.0 you will see (i had to reinstalling every new build, which is annoying)

avast 5 realsed and many eset user was shock by what it looks like and that v5 do make a great deal of changes. somehow, eset does not show enough powerful changes in 4.2, not to mention v5.
I think we need a shock.

With respect, for ESET it's much more important to make improvements under the hood to achieve as best protection as possible instead of changing the gui in every minor build.

Now I have a issue. You take the time to come here Marcos and issue a rebuttal to a question of little importance, then to answer or give feedback to the orginal question of the thread. That, is tacky.:gack:

Exactly, information about new betas or program versions for some reason is like trying to get blood out of a stone!

Just a rough guide/estimate on it would help:-

    1) Are new beta builds going to be available, if so in what timescale?, if not whats the timescale for RC/Final ?

    2) Is there going to be a version 5 this year ?, if so in what timescale

the look is nice for Avast v5, but if u watch many reviews on the videos of Avast! v5 it misses a lots of viruses (latest of the time being) and watch NOD32's videos; it barely misses anything compare to Avast! or even kaspersky.

ppl always trust what other say, as for me i test it out or i have to see it with my own eyes.

I know detecion rate is important. But the advantage of nod32's scan speed is not so significant as before.

    1. you can't copy and paste beta keys. (it's pre-installed when you with the setup file)

    2. that link you gave me? it's release notes of v4.2 beta, i could just check the official beta website for same information. when new beta is release

    3. i was asking the dev team or staff if the current beta 1 key would be extend or any information about extending; due to the fact that most people who is currently beta testing for months including myself. now have less than 11 days left on the beta key.

p.s maybe you're not beta testing v4.2? because i have been testing it since x-mas day

Download a new Beta, it should have a new Beta-Key, thus giving you a full new life on a fresh Beta. The ESET NOD32 & ESS Trials run for 30 days, I do not know how long the Beta license keys expiration shelf life are. You could wait for an ESET Moderator to answer this or contact the Beta Program via email. betasupport@eset.sk

The Beta site does have more information now the program is in full swing, there is a FAQ.

Unless someone from ESET says otherwise, to repeat myself, if you install a Fresh Beta, you will have a newly installed Beta.

I run mine under a current purchased license and am running the Beta in good faith to ESET.

I don't understand the problem. You can use your paid key with this. Most of the people testing this probable have one. Problem solved.

I deïnstalled NOD32 4.0.474 because of speed problems in Windows 7 64-bit, did a fresh install of beta 4.2.22. It came with the embedded username and password. I replaced it with my own username and password. This morning the program said that it couldn't update because username and password were not right. What to do now?
