This has crossed my mind too many times, and I think I've suggested it at least twice too. :D

Or maybe as John Rambo.... or The Terminator (and when you close the program it say "I'll be back")

Erik, any plan for improved compatibility with UAC in Windows 7? Having to answer UAC prompts every time I run Hitman Pro is a right pain. No other program I have requires this. Thx

I think no other program you have requires admin rights ... I noticed the same behaviour with MBAM as well :)

Trying out Hitman Pro. Is there any way to post a false positive? It classifies the latest version of Defensewall 3 Beta a Trojan.

Found out how to do it during scan and reported it as a FP.

I reported the false positive and restored the file from quarantine. Today Hitman Pro does not detect it so it has been fixed. I was running DW before and no problem, but installing the latest beta version of DW triggered the detection.

Erik, thank you for answering the previous questions about the intel turbo memory driver, I disabled it.

Just a question, I asked a friend to install hitman pro tonight, and accept the 30 day licence. The connection was blocked by the Vista firewall (32-bit). I installed on another system, and tried to activate, and noticed the same problem.

Usually windows firewall gives a warning, and the user can select 'unblock', but no warning appeared. I had to go to the security centre, and allow hitman pro through windows firewall. See screenshot.

I thought Hitman Pro wouldn't need permission through windows firewall - I don't think it needed permission before. Many novice users wouldn't know how to let the program (hitman pro) through the windows firewall, and may not install the trial (then later buy the product).

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

We have just released build 88:
    • Added Force Breach. When holding the left Ctrl-key while starting Hitman Pro (hold until its window appears) will terminate all processes that run in the user's context. This is particularly useful when a fake/rogue anti-malware application is killing every process you want to start.
    • Added resolution changer. In Safe Mode scenario's where the computer boots in 640x480 the resolution is automatically increased by Hitman Pro to 800x600.
    • Added browser history crawler to correlate possible malware to visited (black listed) sites. The crawler currently supports Firefox and Internet Explorer.
    • Added ability to restore Desktop Wallpaper when repairing the Desktop Wallpaper policy.
    • Improved Early Warning Scoring.
      Improved detection of remnants.
    • Several minor bug fixes.
The most interesting feature in this build is Force Breach.

Check out the YouTube video which explains it all.

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

That is strange. Hitman Pro only communicates on port 80 (http) with our cloud and activation services. Port 80 (outgoing) is open to every application (default) I think.
If you have again this scenario, perhaps we can perform some remote assistance and find out the problem? So far we haven't heard of much problems with the activation services. Sometimes you just need to retry and then it works :doubt:

    • Hello erikloman,

This is for a scenario of extra recovery when all of the clouds databases have been bypassed and the rogue has installed(in memory) past HMP 3 realtime protections right ?

Does the rogue(SecurityTool) not exit your process from memory as it does to so many others when it installs first or the infected computer is rebooted ?

Also if someone wanted to fix a computer infected with this rogue how would they achieve what you show on your youtubeclip if HMP not in memrory ?

      Please advise:)

    HI erikloman,

How does one revert the action of selecting 'treat as false positive'?

I managed to get Hitman Pro to re-detect after resetting Hitman's
FalsePositives registry entry, but I don't see anything in the GUI to let you reset a FP.

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

I updated today to Version 88. I now get a notice about halfway through the scan that Hitman has to close. It still continues to scan even with the notice of its needing to close. ...
Anyone have any similar experience or any answers about what could be causing this?
I use regular scan. The scan stops at 99% and does not complete.
    Thank you.

At least Early Warning Scoring-scan gets stuck at 99% - see screen shot.

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

Force Breach is for the scenario when you can't start your on-demand removal tool because the infection is preventing you to start anything at all. As the video shows, the infection is literally killing new processes at a regular interval.

You can copy the HitmanPro35.exe on a USB stick and start it from there, while holding the Ctrl-key down. The video does not actually illustrate the USB part though but you'll get the point, I hope.

Also, it is not required to click Next to let Hitman Pro clean your PC. Once Hitman Pro performed the Force Breach you can start any removal tool you want.
