I just needed to purchase another year licence for NOD32. Instead of getting a new licence I decided to renew the old one, in other words I decided to keep this licence.

I received an email saying everything was fine, that I didn't have to download anything and my licence was renewed for another year, but NOD32's traybar icon is still orange.

I find this very weird to be honest. Does my licence still work now? When will the icon turn green again?

Well, I did that and it doesn't do anything. Still orange.

Really bad service, if I'm honest.

If you purchase a renewal with your username/password preserved, it may take up to 24 hours for this information to propagate to all servers. Try selecting Help -> Verify license validity to see if that helps, otherwise wait a bit until your license gets updated on all servers.

If it had been a week, I might agree, but I dont think labeling it as bad service is fair to Eset. Good product and vendor so it might be weird as you say, but it is not reflective of the vendor. Ok.

Sorry everybody, I'm just going through some issues right now and react rather cranky because of it. I apologize, didn't mean anything by it.

I just did that check and it says valid until 22-2-2010? I guess I'll just have to wait for the servers to propagate. Is this normal?

    Thanks for your assistance.

no problem, you can be sure, if there is a issue, Eset will address it.

Now I could tell you about some poor customer service with a vendor, but, not, today.
