    Hello everyone,

I recently installed Online Armor++ on my Windows 7 PC. I have firefox.exe set to Allowed but not Trusted. I did this so I would get a notification from OA++ whenever Firefox tries to do anything at all. I've noticed that while I surf the web or while I leave Firefox completely idle, FF periodically tries to connect to 63.245.209.93:80. I did some research on this IP, and found that it resolves to fxfeeds.acelb.sj.mozilla.com. If you try to go to this address, you will get redirected to the Mozilla website.

I was wondering if anybody knows what this IP address/domain is used for, and why Firefox makes frequent connections to it(several per hour).

That's your LiveBookmarks. I toss all those defaults before FF goes anywhere.

How do you get rid of it? All I am able to find is to go to about:config and set browser.feeds.handler to ask, or to go to options>applications>content>web feeds and set it to preview in firefox. The thing is, those two are already set that way in my firefox. That is how firefox came by default, and yet FF keeps trying to connect to that IP address.

Oh I see... That IP address is for the default RSS feed that comes with firefox, for BBC News. I didn't realize that it gets the feed from a Mozilla URL rather than a BBC URL. I was thinking that Firefox connects to that IP, regardless of what feeds you have in Live Bookmarks, because I thought the BBC feed would use a BBC URL. Thanks for the help GlobalForce.
