    >> should i need to format my machine etc, will the license still work?

Reset in User center - license is after activation only valid for that windows on this system.
But - you can use it on same system+windows if no change happend.

(i dont really format since years - i use images)

in general: you can give the license away - but dont forget to reset it ;)

    #oops a bit too slow :D

what's the confusion......single pc/one year OA++ license is free and hence can be activated only within 30 days....the other offers are all discounts....you pay for them right...

im confused because the quote under my message above is from the offer website of Online Armor.

it says they are commercial licenses and can be activated at any time, doesnt mention anything within 30 days.

hmmmm.....this is the quote: look at the bottom one.....gaotd license usually installs just for one day but OA++ free can be installed/activated in 30 days

The desturbing part is that...OA++ doesn't have a quarantine, like an ordinary AV...my luck i'm using it with Avast 5 free AV..

I only see that written on the gaotd site. They have the same terms for all of their giveaways. However I do not see terms like that written on the tall emu site. Tall Emus site says these are normal commercial licenses. I think you get all updates & upgrades for the duration of the license(1 year).

I know, but till then.....i think i'll be removing OA++,because it's to "agresive" with its AV,and it wouldn't let me know that a program is SAFE to run, because it's make things happened, and you THE USER,you're the last who found out about this blocked programs.(btw, don't ask me what programs, doesn't matter...it's just the behaviour of the OA++ AV....

im not sure what ur trying to say but u can just block the program and not delete it, i dont see a big problem having no quarantine cuz if its blocked, its essentially like its quarantined, u dont HAVE to delete it, thers an option if u want to in the alert tho. or if u know its good, it ALLOWS u to let it thru (which is something i love having an option unlike some AV's)

IMO its really not very aggressive and gives u plenty of room to do what u want with the program.:thumb:

great deal for the fact that its not the usual GAOTD install in 24 hours and lose it if you ever have to re-install OS....and the Online Armor site looks very professional - other software co's could learn a few things from them...they actually have a login, lets you keep track of licenses, when they were purchased, when they expire, etc etc...great idea and reflects well on the company as most just want to get your $$ and then its like pulling teeth for any support....couple of days ago i bought a math program off Bits du Jour and that software co. charged me $3-$4 just for the "privilege" of being able to redownload the program for the next 12 months in case i needed to re-install for some reason....(wtf??) how cheap is that...

    thank you TallEmu...

I'm saying that OA++ make the choices for you...if a file seems to be infected,it warns you,but....i hit allow, but after that, the program is still blocked and i have to search it in the deepest heart of OA.Anyway,i don't use cracks or whatever, but if i do it for any purpose,i'm aspecting that a security program must "listening" to you.

The free license will also work for OA Premium, so you can compare how OA works with the AA/Ikarus AV with how it works with Avast! 5 or the the AV of your choice. And continue to use OA Premium with your favorite for free for a year. :) Great deal!

    >> The free license will also work for OA Premium,

OAprem will sign up as OA++ in the header - but w/o av component.

I think it is just telling you that you are licensed for AV++ even if you download and install AV Premium. Except for the header there seems to be no other indication-I have been using another ++ license like that for several months since I decided to beta test and use the Avast! 5 Free with OA Premium instead. I could revert back to ++ anytime I want.
