A new version of Google Chrome was released on 1/25 and it is not a dev or beta version. I noticed that there is not a SafeOnline tab present when using the new version of Chrome, but the tab is present when I use the current version of IE8 on the same computer. I should mention that this issue was noted after performing a clean install of Prevx 3.0.5.50. Is this a known issue?

I hope that Prevx jumps on this ASAP, as version 4 is no longer a beta or dev build! Version 4.0.249.78 was released for general use yesterday. Also, Prevx seems to chew up a lot of my bandwidth. Is this due to all of my activity passing through the Prevx community cloud?

    Hello,
We will be adding Chrome v4 support shortly. Prevx should not take up much bandwidth at all, but if you could click Tools - Save Scan Results and send this to report@prevxresearch.com, that should allow us to see what may be going wrong :)

FWIW I have XP SP3 32-bit on one of my other pc's using Prevx SafeOnline (Facebook). I just installed Chrome 4.0.249.89 and the SafeOnline tab is present. However on my workstation @ home running Win 7 Ult x64 + Prevx full 3.0.5.85 w/ SafeOnline the tab is not present; it is present in IE and FF only.

SafeOnline now fully supports Chrome v4 on 32bit OSs but it does not currently support Opera or Chrome on 64bit PCs because of the fundamental architectural differences in the operating systems.

We'll be adding this in the near future, but in the meantime, SafeOnline's protection is primarily just for Firefox/IE on x64.
