if u want an effective protection with Eset , i would recommend Malwarebyte's Antimalware real time protection.

I had 2 boxes come up while setting up clean install of win 7

    updates installing etc.

ESS 4.2 installed 1st and running update etc

Then got your fire wall has been disabled yet was not well ESS said it was ok but was not 100% sure if it was really running and this box kept wanted to install an exe and yet ESS said nothing or block this am guessing if i pressed ok in error or some one not so hot on computers loads out there bless em . ESS would block the install?

Does seem daft having to buy another program to do what ESET says it does on the box / disk anti spyware / anti virus , Anti sapm , firewall.

It seems daft you have to buy another pforam though.

I like ESS 4.2 but i just want the best i can get for protection i had money taken out of my bank 3 years ago. Yet had protection running with another AV program that is said on ESET site infact.

    :)

I have recently seen quite a number of infections with the Kryptik variants, on computers with Symantec 10.x and MalwareBytes active, so I doubt strongly that MalwareBytes is worth a *&^%$. Certainly hasn't helped my pre-ESET machines. . .
