Dmon like any other modules writes to the threat log if a threat is found. You can subsequently export the log to a text or xml file and save it wherever you want.

hm I get a file dmon.log on my c:\ partition. Doesn't bother me too much, but would prefer to have it in temp folder. And so far didn't find a way to turn that log off

DMON creates a log file only after setting a special value in the registry which is provided by customer care when troubleshooting issues. I'd suggest uninstalling the beta completely and deleting the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESET" registry key in case the special value enabling debug logging wasn't removed during uninstallation. Then reinstall the beta.

Can't I just delete the special value? I only installed, there was no action on behalf of customer care or else

I have that file there also! I was wondering why it was there? And no customer care! It writes to it everyday.

This problem will be fixed in the release version 4.2. However, I'd suggest you keep DMON disabled as it may slow down opening Word documents due to a bug in MS Office. Real-time protection will still check files as you access / create them.

And you are saying turn systemintegration and enable document protection off?

Yep, I'd keep it disabled unless I'd run into a special case when real-time protection would need to be disabled (e.g. due to another resident protection running).
