Sadly, my favourite Firefox newsreader Sage will not work with Firefox 3.6.

Sage hasn't been udated for ages, its forks Sage-Too and Sage++ have problems of their own. Other readers have failed to make a lasting impression. Wizz RSS appears to have unsurmountable security issues and was subsequently removed from the Firefox add-ons pages, Brief takes up way too much screen real estate.

    Any suggestions for alternatives?

I found this message while using "Newsfox". I don't know if it works with 3.6 or not, but it works fine with 3.5.7.

Feed Demon is a great open source. One of the best IMHO.

Thanks Colin, NewsFox is nice but still a bit rough around the edges. The toolbar disappeared after a few clicks and I couldn't get it back...

Unfortunately, FeedDemon is completely out of the question for several reasons. Neither is it open source nor does it integrate with Firefox. And:

Do you by chance use gmail? If so you can use their built in RSS reader in any browser.
