    WinXP Home SP3. NOD32 4.x

    NOD32 is scheduled to run a full scan at 5AM. Usually finishes by 7AM. Sometimes (once every couple of weeks) when I come to the machine at 10AM. NOD is still running, taking an entire CPU. When I open it up it says scan is 100% completed, but Task Manager says it's taking 50% of the machine. A reboot clears it.

    What's going on? How do I fix?
    thanks

    Hi Richard - Sorry for the delay, we tried to tinker with some other things but are still getting this issue.

    I tried to follow your instructions but didn't get off to a good start. I went to that page and selected:

    OS: Windows XP
    Product: ESET NOD32 AntiVirus
    Version: 4.0
    Problem Type: Other Issue
    Specific Issue: Other

    and I get "error on page" Both in IE7 and Seamonkey 1.1.18

    So I'm dead-in-the-water on filing a ticket.

    any suggestions?

    thanks!
    /j

    i "left a message" yesterday but no call-back yet (sigh). No offense, but your customer service system doesn't seem particularly user friendly (on-line support deflects me to customer service, but on-line forms don't work, phone lines are open mostly when consumers are at work (no weekends), no callbacks to left messages, etc)

    With other alternatives out there, this experience isn't increasing my respect for NOD 8-{

    I have been unable to place a support call either on web or on-line. (phone wait is too long and no one calls back). Can't anyone help me in this forum?
