How often do you visit illegal cracks site??

I use crack sites all the time. But the main reason I use them is my Life is attached to a laptop and carrying to big damn cases of CD's just don't cut it for me. So if it needs a CD to load it's getting cracked regardless. Also I have been virus free for years. So even surfing the dark side of the web its still relatively easy to stay clean.


I will say this tho EVERYTHING i crack is owned by me. I don't use crack sites for illegal reasons.

 

Same reason for me too but you do for your work I do for my games I don't like to keep rakes of DVD's instead I make image of each and store on my computer.

Not anymore. It used to be a great way to find the latest infections.
Usually I'm looking for a particular malware and on these sites you nowadays get bundles of it.
Plus they don't advertise which keygen or crack will install what.
If you don't care what you get infected with, then they are a good source.
But if that is your idea of 'freeware' I do have some swampland for sale.

 

Warez is illegal.
Whether you host or just give links to the files.
Its not allowed in almost all countries
violating copyright laws is punishable.
So , my suggestion , just stay away.

I started this thread about illegal crack sites.
The difference between warez and cracks is that a crack implies the actual crack breaks the software anti-pirate protection. Warez is a distribution that includes not just the crack, but the actual piece of software itself.

I buy the software but I refuse to carry there damn CD everywhere I go just to use it. So if it requires it, It gets cracked that simple. I should not have to have the CD in just because they are worried about pirates.

 

I share this opinion with you. NO-CD protection schemes are the only thing that always get cracked here. I use Daemon Tools Lite for this purpose.

nowadays when i search in google.com and open known malicious rogue Av sites , google blocks it and opens google.com

Im a daily malware hunter . so i know the difference.

to be honest i am quiet often use cracked software but after i convince by the quality,features,stability of the software i will sure buy it,i remember once i saw a software for primary school kids(fraction - addition/division/multiplication/subtraction) and he/she sell it for 9.99$ lol,i can program it in c++ for 5 minutes! nowadays programmer job is not really exclusive,you can get any kind of IDE and compiler from any kind of programming languages(basic,pascal/delphi,asm,c,c++,python,prolog,etc) in ease and cheap even free,so the quality of the software from my observation is decreasing for indiependent developer,we just need to be carefull and fully sure about the features thats they advertise is works as it should,not just a marketing b.s!for me no i rarely to get roque,trojan,malware in the 'packages',you just need 'good' sources to get clean one,mostly most of the cracks/keygen/setup sometimes some kiddies bind it with their homemade botnet/virus/trojan,so just careful all of this web forum.

 

I get around - for research I have a vm setup specially with links just to crack, sharing portals and 'team' sites. I'll find a latest circumvention to an OS or software, study a Fully UnDetectable program, find a hot sample added to a keygen or crack.

May or may not what the OP meant but I hope an insight at least.

 

Crack sites are not illegal in the UK.
The download, distribution and personal use of cracks is not illegal in the UK.
The distribution of cracked software IS illegal in the UK though.

 

You can always go to Malwarebytes forum to find the latest rogues.
Surf many crack and pornographic sites blindly and you will definitely find a new variant of rogue.

 

Yes, laws and regulations can be so funny and rather pathetic many times.

Just recently in UK, a robber tried to rob in a house with knife, robber( with a long criminal record) was caught and then somehow beaten by a crowd. Robber was set free without any penalty and the man who was being robbed suffered an accusition n jail. Case still on-going.
