FYI. While JohhnyDollar is correct that Web of Trust has listed the Web site as having a poor reputation, based on only one review, I downloaded the Free Edition CrystalSetup2010.exe found on that site and ran the .exe by both VirusTotal & Jotti's Malware Scan. Results: 0/41 and 0/20, respectively.

Based on those results, the link will not be removed from Wan's Post, however, always proceed with caution when dealing with any new software program.

The "advised" dual-core 1.4GHZ processor requirement is more of a worry.

Judging by the robot-like dummy on their homepage and the screenshots posted above, they seem to be fanatics of Eset. Any relationship?

Looks exactly like ESETs robot...any copyright claim here?

The 'abouts us' link won't work, but the download does.

And that is a direct rip of eset's branding.

It first needs credibility. Now WOT gives the site itself, plus the site of the owners, gpsquad.can4.co.uk, as not trusted. Says something, doesn't it? If you look at the gpsquad website I have no idea why they host the file and are the owners of the av site. Is it something like Panda and Scientology?

My wife who watchs me from time to time on this board. When she seen the website her first remark was they ripped off Eset. So it's even obvious to the average user also. ;)

She has nick named that robot "Sunny" from the movie I-Robot. Every time she see's it that's what I hear. :D

downloaded it and had a quick look at it:

The good news is it's not malicious :D

Besides of that, don't bother. The "detection" is filename and location based. It has couple of filenames from 180 Solutions in it's database and that's it.

Programmed in an open source basic compiler called "Gentee". There's no way that this project will be successful in future under that circumstances.

Sorry to say that but you simply can't write AV software without having at least basic knowledge. You could just find more malware by providing a perl or cmd script with filenames that scans as well.

I'm pretty sure that Simisg didn't just scan his own system.
I tested it on a VM with some fresh malware and it stopped nothing too.Maybe it'll improve over time but not yet.

Does somebody actually read and understand what i write? Why are you surprised that it doesn't detect anything? I wrote already earlier that it's FILENAME AND LOCATION BOUND. So even if you have a sample that should be theoretical detected it will NOT if it isn't exactly named as expected and doesn't reside in the correct folder location.
