Does enabling this make any difference with this beta?

Yes, same as always in that you will get new modules before official release.

I do not want to speak too soon but I think ESET have finally fixed the Vista SP1 onwards issues with the WEB/HTTP Scanning making surfing slow as hell.

I will test over a few days on more sites but my homepage opens fast where as it was slow before.

I see one of the Firewall settings is no longer present, it was the one you choose for Strict or something else (cant remember as not got photo of it).

It may now be that new setting that does not let me open it as I ain't on a Network.

Well now my Sysinspector Module is at 1213. Previous was at 1214. So its not very good to enable that ;)

Why is the Document Protection setting off by default?

Real-time protection scans all documents you open or access, there's no need to have double protection unlessyou require it (e.g. if you need to keep real-time protection disabled due to another concurrently running realt-time scanner)

Will v4.2 solve an incompatibility with the paid version of MBAM? Even though I excluded MBAM as instructed in Nod32, there is a boot up hang using NOD32 v4.0.474 and MBAM paid. I'm not the only one who has the problem.:p

How did update work, I always, and I mean always had a mess when uninstalling on xp, always some log was not being able to be deleted epnfw.dat or something like that. It was a mess. No on win 7 I would like to run this version, but I am kind of afraid it will again hose my system, and I haven't tested trueimage 2010 restore as of yet.

Uninstalling EAV leaves this behind (from Autoruns/Drivers Tab):
eamonm Eset file on-access scanner File not found: system32\DRIVERS\eamonm.sys

How does the "Log all objects" option work under the on-demand settings? It doesnt seem to make any difference.

It's been working for me fine since v3, even with the latest beta and all files are logged during a scan.

    Installed over Business 4.0 on a Latitude D620 DuoCore 1.66ghz, 2.5gb DDR2, 320gb 7200 rpm HD, Win 7 Pro 32 bit.

Loads quicker and is more responsive. Scanned well and I'm pleased. :) ;)

That's because you enabled or disabled pre-release updates. In such case, all modules must be downloaded from the update servers.

One little thing overlooked by some, is now what I have wanted for a long time. The ability to reset stats under protection status without having to reboot. Thank you Marcos and others.:thumb:

When first released I downloaded this new beta version, and tried it for a week. However a major problem developed, that frequently while working on it for a period of time, my computer stopped responding and kept on hanging, so that I was forced to reboot.
As you can understand this started to annoy me greatly and I uninstalled this version and re-installed version 4.0.474.0 again, so now the computer is working normally again.
However I do recognize that version 4.2.22.0 is a beta release, so I better wait with updating to that one until the final version is ready and all of these bugs have been cleared up.
There's one thing I noticed though, that immediately after I re-installed version 4.0.474.0 I found that at first firewall v1055 was installed, but after running an update that one was replaced by the previous version v1054, even though I had pre-release updates enabled. So what gives, is v1055 only available to the beta testers?

If you encounter serious problems with the beta like the one mentioned above and want to have them investigated and eventually fixed in the release version, create a full or at least kernel memory dump per the instructions here at the moment the problem occurs.

Let me know when you have the dump ready so that I can provide you further instructions.

Sorry Marcus, but as I mentioned in my previous post, I no longer have the beta version installed, and am using version 40.0.474.0 again, so I'm unable at this time to create this memory dump.
    Thanks anyway for your suggestion.

Not very likely, as I prefer to work with a more stable version, so Ill wait for future developments of version 4.2, before I'll try it again.
However in my previous post I forgot to mention that I'm running the Process Explorer, and noticed that this beta version's CPU usage frequently read as 100%, which may be the reason for it slowing down my computer, which caused these frequent crashes.

    +1

However given the other buttons have been moved to email header area, that maybe a better location.
Either way saving vertical height would be valuable on my laptop with it's lower screen (1366 x 768 )

    Was briefly discussed here
And I thought I read here that it was a planned enhancement but can't find the post.
