    Hello

Any one running Eset ESS 4.2 Beta on Win7 x64 platform that previously had problems with web slowdowns but now running it with success and no slowdowns when web surfing?

    Thanks,
    Simon

The ping rate dropped considerable, but still extremely slow to the point I am seriously looking for another program!

I have found this version faster than the current release on Windows 7 *64.
    Internet speed seems better etc.

    Hi

I'm glad they're improving it but I'm sadden by the fact that Win 7 support so lackluster despite claims of full compatability.
I'm using beta software from Sunbelt that works better on all my Win7 systems then Eset.

All in all ESS is a great piece of software but a shame Win7 is so hard to get right.

I was suffering slowdowns with Chrome only. All other browsers seemed fine. This was in Vista and 7 64 bit.

With this latest beta on Windows 7 64, it seems to be corrected for me. Everthing seems as it should be now.

I'll post back after some more testing...

Well, after a couple of days using the beta, I don't see any problems and my net speeds all seem optimal.

    Good stuff...

running well here, a couple of minor firewall problems with uploading. and an initial memory usage problem that was solved by re- installing and not running sysinspector. all is good.

i think i spoke too soon. after 2 hours of world of warcraft, latency went higher and higher then i got disconnected. there were many incorrect tcp packet entires in firewall log. have gone back to nod 32 4.2.22.0. i dont think i'll ever get the firewall working with this router. it's a bt home hub v3 always causes strange entries in firewall log. i only use smart because the firewall is so light compared to the other bloated monstroseties out there.
windows firewall is fine for me.
i had smart on all default settings.
    no other security programs
    windows 7 64 bit.

I am testing EAV, but the "ekrn.exe" is a x32 service :thumbd:
Do you have information about a true x64 product?

My Win7Ultimate x64 is slowing down the packing/unpacking files...
