i have a pc infected with Mabezat virus , and i installed updated no32 version 4 and after full scanning detects it and delete it but the virus still running and nod32 was asking me for a restart .
i restarted the pc and the virus still running and nod32 catches it.

i installed malwarebytes and scanned the pc and detected the virus and removed it .

why nod32 was unable to clean the pc o_O?

now i have similar problem with sality.nat and sality.nar really nod32 can not clean the pc from this virus o_Oo_O?

Unfortunately there are many viruses, and worms out there.. Malware bytes database is actually rather small, but focus on virus/malware variants that nobody else is catching. I am assuming you downloaded the free malware bytes scanner online. It is a great free scanner/cleaner but it is easier to come in and run as a cleaner than to keep malware from installing, and infecting the PC. If you could locate the virus files on the computer you could send them in to ESET @ samples@eset.sk in a password protected zip file, and they would add them to their signature database after implementing their signatures.

    Hello,

On a machine that is infected before installing antivirus, many issues can exist that antivirus can not address. One area that Malwarebytes scans and fixes that antivirus does not is the registry. Antivirus programs scan files for infections and prevent malicious activity from ever changing the registry in the first place.

Antivirus is more for prevention and programs like Malwarebytes are focused on fixing the settings that were broken.

A friend has put it this way before: Think of antivirus as an alarm system. It is meant to prevent and ward off break-ins. If you put an alarm system on a house that is already ransacked, the alarm is not going to fix the windows and clean the glass off the floor. You would need to bring in a cleaning/repair crew for that.

I am using Malwarebytes free for on demand scanning, and SAS pro is installed for real time. Does any one think it would be beneficial for me to buy Malwarebytes, run IT real time and use SAS for on demand?

I don't think you interpreted what I asked right. I asked about making MBAM real time and SAS on demand, the opposite of how I have it now. Or are you saying using both in any combination is overkill? Thanks for responding.:)

Pardon for misinterpreting your query. MBAM real-time may conflict with NOD32's real-time protection the application offers.
These questions regarding MBAM, I cannot answer since I do not run the full version. As for SAS on-demand, that would be your option.

Perhaps other users that run paid MBAM that frequent here might like to add to this thread.

Posting your MBAM Forums Thread for others to see.

the majority talking about sending a virus's sample to ESET lab, ya i can go for this step in new cases of infection .but in my case nod32 detects the virus (mabezat-sality) and gives me action by delete it , so i think the virus signature is already exists .
but the main problem that nod32 cant remove the virus from the system.
so when you compare malwarebytes with nod32 you find malwarebytes solved the problem completely .

dears regarding to one pc there is no problem to fix the problem , but when you have many computers in the network really it is a nightmare .

Hi all. I don't think that "Full version of MBAM" is a right choice. Because AFAIK mbam has a low detection rates and high false-positive alarms as well. I'll recommend you do not use MBAM for a long period of time, and after mbam has done its work you should uninstall it.

    Hi, nopieees.
You can simply remove this malware with the Kaspersky Virus-Removal Tool(You can download its from : http://devbuilds.kaspersky-labs.com/devbuilds/AVPTool/. Don't worry about databases the whole program updating recently ) or ESET's SysRescue disc as well.
One Remark: In some cases you should scan your PC in a safe mode. IF you don't know how to start your PC in a Safe Mode: please read the following: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial61.html

    Sincerely,

IMO, any application running actively in the backgroun other than your antivirus is overkill.

The way I do it is, format a system, install NOD32, and install SAS or Malware antibytes antimalware......and run a scan ever 2 days......takes care of everything.......never got infected....EVER........no matter what sites I visit.

My setup is similar to yours plus I have disabled ActiveX, JavaScript, Flash and Pop-up windows through Outpost Firewall Web Control. Only on trusted sites these are abled i.e Banks, Microsoft update....etc. I also use session cookies only. This way when I close the browser cookies are gone.

thank you dears for your all replies.
Im supporting nod32 for over three years now and really i can see what is wrong with nod32 .
nod32 is one of best AV to protect pcs. Im writing this post to make nod32 stronger and i do not want to use any other solution for one reason that i have licensed nod32 business edition .
when you compare nod32 with malwarebytes , you obviously see that the malwarebytes scan engine can trace the virus root and remove it from the system , while nod32 just delete the virus output.
why does ESET ignore the problem and why there is no helping tools to fix it.and why not nod32 develop their engine to be like malwarebytes.
when i use other solutions while im having licensed one , that means im loosing my trust on this product unless ESET recommends to use additional tools like malwarebytes.

just like MB can't be run on its own neither Eset or any other AV can be relied to clean every single malware that is out there. If the machine is not locked/pathced and if scripting is allowed indiscriminately then no AV/AT is immune

MBAM is an anti-malware product. Not to be confused with an anti-virus scanner.
There clearly appears to be some overlap with users employing both.
Queries have been asked and more information will be forthcoming.

Thank you all for your patience, we will have answers shortly :thumb:
