    Hello,
    it would be interessting to run comodo leak test on the new beta..

    http://www.testmypcsecurity.com/securitytests/firewall_test_suite.html

    can somebody pls run the test?
    Iam not running ESS now , but i would like to see if the firewall / HIPS is getting stronger ...

    My own score is 320 / 340 , using OA ++

    P.S. i know that the test is more about HIPS as the firewall .. Thanks to everybody who makes a post with their score
    Rgds..

    I can't download it either (I'm sure I could disable ESS and get it, but not really worth the effort). I am not greatly familiar with this test, but is it a valid test or a tool Comodo released to make their product look better than everyone else? From what searching I have done 170 doesn't look like a great score, but should I care? If something else gets 320 is it a better product or does it just score higher on this test which isn't a real threat anyway?

    The thing is that this test just shows u the Firewall functions / mostly HIPS ..
    If i am correct it is absolutely ok that it shows u a message about a virus , but it is not one , and its also not a false positive. In this case ESS modules catching it before it can start , thats the part when it shows u that an other product is not better or worse but it shows u that they can work different. And 170 is ok because if this would be real malware it would be catched by ESS as a virus / unwanted application and by the other product with HIPS. I think the test is a valid test, but in other hand when i got 320 it is not telling you that my product is better than yours, because ESS blocked the application and i could run the application but when i saw what it want to do i blocked it. The point is that this is also causing why ESS is performing not well on the matousec tests. These applications mostly testing HIPS / not the av module / and i just want to see or know if the HIPS is getting stronger or it is on the same level. If this wouldn't be catched by the AV module it would be a security risk.
    P.S. Sorry for my English i am not a native speaker.

    The test is apparently aimed to test HIPS, but not detection of real malware that performs actions simulated by the test.

    For a simple and more accurate leak test on the firewall, I still like the one Jim Gibson developed. It works best when ESS is in"Interactive Mode". See: https://www.grc.com/lt/leaktest.htm

    Yes, you'll have to download this utility from this site: https://www.grc.com/lt/leaktest.htm, and place it in the start menu, which makes is easier accessible.
    Then click on: "Test For Leaks", with ESS on Interactive Mode, afterwards you'll see an ESS window pop up. Click on refuse in that window, and make this a rule, to disallow the leak test utility to connect.
