    Ok here's the full story,
I woke one day, opened my computer, but to my surprise, no program started. All startups where removed in some way, including ess, mbam and a-squared and prevx.I was like " is there a virus or what ?!". So I opened all 4 of them and scanned but no viruses where found.
So I calmed down, and said "I'll just uninstall and reinstall all of them".Which I did and on next startup, Hurray problem solved:D :D only to see prevx asking me to install it which I did before restarting. So I clicked install and again it tells me to install but it doesn't install.I have to end the process to stop it.
Here is the problem. Its been 2 weeks like this and I'm losing my mind:mad:
I did try uninstalling it.removing all its registries using ccleaner, system mechanic, advanced system care anf tuneup utilities, but after reinstalling it and restarting, same problem?!

Please help me guys. All help is appreciated:'(

Have you PM'd Prevxhelp here at Wilders and contacted Tech Support? That way you have all whistles blowing for needed help...:)

Most people don't even know who Prevxhelp is. Some people that post here are not regulars to wilders. Posting here or contacting support is still the fastest way for support. Only time I recommend PMing Joe is if

    1. You got no help or your issue could not be resolved
    2. You contacted support and did not get what you needed
    3. Frequent wilder that would not mind starting support that way

Overall I think posting in the forum is just as fast if not faster then PMing. And it could help anyone with the same issue.

Might try booting into safe mode Remove Prevx and delete its directory's. Then reboot Windows and re-download Prevx and try installing. This sometimes can fix the issue of if conflicting with it self.

I would recommend to use the removal tool in safemode.

No no no, I can't uninstall it.I just remembered now, I did uninstall it but when I tried to reinstall it, the installer never opened. No matter what happen, the installer refused to open.
Then I think after a week, I tried again and it installed at last this time but once the PC restarted its not installed and I click install but it refuses to.So I dont think I'll uninstall it if I dont get a reasonable way.
    Thanks anyway.Any more ideas?

P.S: can someone tell joe to view my thread? He might solve this

Joe (PrevxHelp) Views all threads. So I'm sure he will respond when he gets online. Right now it might be best to wait on Joe as he might have some easy ideas how to fix this. Right now the only thing I can think of involves editing the registry. Not something I want to do over the forum as a miscommunication could screw up the computer.

    Hello :)
Unfortunately I am not quite ubiquitous - all of the Prevx users do not know me :D

However, to try and correct your issue:

First try downloading our removal tool from http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=csiuninstalltool

Run this program (with administrative privileges in normal mode) and then reboot your PC after it uninstalls. Next, download the newest version of Prevx 3.0 from http://info.prevx.com/downloadcsi.asp and you should be able to install it properly.

If not, you may want to try using the standard uninstallation method by clicking Start > Run and typing:

    "c:\program files\prevx\prevx.exe" /prop UNINSTALL=AUTO

On each of these steps, ensure that the Prevx installer is being run with administrative privileges - system level software can't install under a limited user account.

If the install continues to fail, it is possible that you're infected with malware that blocks Prevx from installing. To circumvent this, you may want to try clicking Options on the install screen and then select "Randomize the installed filename of Prevx to bypass certain infections"

Let me know if this helps! :)
