    Summary of the latest XYplorer Official Release (v8.80.0000, 22-dec-2009).

    Main changes since last release:

    +++ Recycle Bin Deluxe. Finally you get the Recycle Bin special folder
    in XYplorer as well. But not the spartan kind of bin you know from
    other file managers like e.g. Explorer. XYplorer's Recycle Bin
    gives you more...

    +++ Edit Mini Tree. Now you can directly edit XYplorer's famous Mini
    Tree. Add the branches you need to see and delete what's just in
    your way.

    Does this new version write user configs to c:\documents and settings or still writes to the program's directory?

    Thanks. So it's still more suitable to install it only for a single user or as a portable app.

    You can set user specific configurations by creating a startup.ini file in XY's application folder.

    and add the following:

    [AppData]
    Path=%appdata%\XYplorer

    or

    [AppData]
    Path=%USERPROFILE%\XYplorer

    Hence is is ensured that each user gets his or her own configuration when starting XYplorer.

    Have a look here in particular at the chapter "Set A Specific Application Data Path":
