Use Firefox w/Add-on, CustomizeGoogle and check both privacy boxes:
1) Anonymize the Google cookie UID, and
2) Don't send any cookies to Google Analytics

Make your own search-plugin :
http://www.searchplugins.net/generate.aspx
Set up the search-options like you want them, allow google to set the cookie, enter "TEST" (without quotes ) as search-string, copy the entire URL into the plug-in generator,generate it and start using the plugin .
Now you can delete and block the google-cookie and still have unfiltered search-results, displayed as you prefer .

Or use the Scroogle /SSL plugin from searchplugins.net, pretty neat if you are behind a filtering proxy .

 

All you guys got it wrong. The only way to protect your privacy from Google or anywhere on the Internet is to unplug your computer, period. .

Dont use google use ixquick.

 

I use xerobank. Firefox with noScript, Better Privacy, and adblock plus.....or XB Browser.

 

Using Firefox with Noscript, BetterPrivacy, CookieSafe, RequestPolicy, Ghostery, & Adblock Plus - also set Firefox to clear all private data at shut down (and BetterPrivacy clears the often overlooked Flash cookies at shutdown too).

Also tend to run most of my searches through https://ssl.scroogle.org/

For browser-based google services, it is possible to "clean up" much of the pages (and ads) with greasemonkey or stylish scripts (also Firefox plugins).

I use G-Zapper from www.dummysoftware.com, which seems to work well!

 

When I'm being "anonymous", I use XeroBank and xB Browser.

When I'm just being myself, I use Firefox 3.0 with Adblock Plus, BetterPrivacy, CustomizeGoogle and NoScript. Based on daray's response, I'm going to add CookieSafe, Ghostery and RequestPolicy.

Add this to Firefox and let them try to figure out what you're viewing.

Track Me Not

Combine this with a VPN service and they'll never be able to find what sites you've visited.
