    Hello,

I have followed each step listed in Eset help website and now I have re-installed the product but I am still getting this message. And now again I have installed the Eset in new drive but still same message. And this time even I haven't given username and password, when it was working ok and I don't give password during update Eset ask for username and password but now with no password it is not even asking for password.. What should I do?

I'd suggest you do the following:
1, download the ESET uninstall tool and save it to the disk
2, start Windows in safe mode and run the uninstall tool
3, start Windows in normal mode and download ESS from the ESET download page using your username and password and install it

    Hello,
I switch fairly often between V3 and V4 of EAV and ESS (I always properly uninstall and clean etc everytime) and today I had update problems after installing the latest version of V4 ESS.
    This has never happened before.
After a while, after rebooting and re-entering my user name and password to no avail and scratching my head and mumbling, I went into Setup, Enter entire advanced setup tree, Update and noticed that under Update settings for selected profile, Update server: was blank.
It usually has Choose automatically there.
I clicked on the drop down and selected Choose automatically and after that everything was OK.
    Just thought I'd mention this.
Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays to everyone
    Scotto.
