Hi I have installed the trial version before buying as I want to see if it is any less onerous on system resources than my previous AV programmes - and it definitely wins that war - but since installation I keep getting at random intervals the standard " Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" - there are no issues with connectivity in the house as other laptops are fine. I can hit the google homepage 4 times and it wont laod hit it a 5th time and bingo. I have disabled firewall and am using XP firewall - still happens - if I diasble ESET the problem disappears.

I really like the way this programme is light on system resources but this is driving me crazy.

I have searched forum but cant quite find similar issue Any ideas ??

PS I have read the ongoing issue with google.com being blocked by ESET but this happens with many other websites not just when I go to google - I used that in my first post just as an example

As for problems opening Google web page, enable logging of all blocked connections in the IDS section of the firewall setup, replicate the problem and eventually check the firewall log for details about the rule that prevented the page from opening. Let us know what rule it is.

I don't have time to go through all the bug testing and whatnot but I can tell you with 100% certainty that I've had this problem with ESET and my fresh installation of windows 7 x64 ultimate and eset smart security (non-firewall version). This is sooo annoying. I wish they would have better quality control.

All softwares are made by humans be, so you can't expect a perfect program, or are you perfect?
I'm also running 7 x64 RTM and it also had minor bugs that are annoying.
You can't a expect a solution if you can't follow the instructions to determine which rule in this situation is affecting the load of the web page.
Anyway I've ESS running in three computers without any issue.
