The answer JerryM is: Do not Delete the files, instead, Quarantine the files.

Any files in the Quarantine can be restored, deleted, and most importantly, can be saved as an 1:1 copy to any desired location.
From there, the file/s can be manually examined or submitted for further analysis. (see section 5 of the online user tutorial)

After ANY manual or automatic System Scan, should ANY files, Actual Infections or Actual False Positives, be detected by Emsi Software A-Squared Antimalware, the suspect files are presented to the User in an
Scanning Diagnosis List within the 'Clean Computer' Dialog Page. From there, the fate of the file/s are at the discretion of the User, NOT Emsi Software A-Squared Antimalware.
The User can: Delete the file or Quarantine the file and/or Submit the file. (see section 4 of the online user tutorial)

By Default Emsi Software A-Squared Antimalware does not delete files. There exists an Option under 'Configuration' to Automatically Re-Scan the Quarantine during ANY Manual or Automatic System Scan.
When Automatically re-scanning the Quarantine during ANY Manual or Automatic System Scan, should the Newer Updated Definitions now classify the Quarantined file/s as 'safe' then the Quarantined file/s are
Automatically Restored from Quarantine to their Respective Original Location. (see section 8 of the online tutorial)

In other words, Emsi Software A-Squared Antimalware DOES NOT automatically delete files, deletion of files is TOTALLY at the discretion of the User.

To fully appreciate the Power and Ease of Use of Emsi Software A-Squared Antimalware, or any software program, one should, and must familiarize themselves with the workings and operation of the software program.
This familiarization can best be achieved by scrutinizing The User Manual Provided or Available to the User.

    markcc,
what do you have to lose? If unhappy with A2, you could just return to your original set-up. As an *****-fanboy, it won me over in the first couple of hours. If it frigs up, I can just jump back to *****, *** and **...

I've already had 1 FP re-classified and restored. I wish *** would have done it that way, as I could have avoided that "blue-screen"...

guys one brief somewhat off topic question - i'm trialing vipre, with malware bytes as a secondary scanner, nothing real time, both on demand. i got the free 1 year of a-squared (thank you emisoft) and i was wondering what you guys think - should i install a-squared and use it, or stick with vipre and malwarebytes? i dont wanna steer this thread off course, so a brief opinion would be fine. thanks!

Going from memory (never reliable with me) I believe that it uninstalls very cleanly,I always use Revo Uninstaller for everything just in case though.;)

I will only Post this once with no further response in cooperation.....

No DIRECT link to the results page.....no validation.....

Anyone can type in manufactured results into an Forum Page, or make typographical errors in the process.

The link that you provided only leads to the Home Page of VB100, not the Results Page.

One must be an Active Member of VB100 to have access to the Current Results Pages.

If you are an Active Member of VB100 then please Post an direct link to the current results page.

I am currently not an Active Member of VB100 and therefore only have access to archived results.

Archived results can also be argued as invalid because the results are stale and outdated, however, I did not type in the results into an Forum Page,

I provided an Direct Link to the 2008/09/02 results page that is an valid source from an valid reputable testing organization.

When I uninstalled through the Microsoft Windows Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel, the Trial Version of Emsi Software A-Squared Antimalware, an few versions back,

the program uninstalled very clean, leaving behind only one or two folders and an couple of Registry entries.....I was impressed.

    Markcc,
What do you currently use as your AV? I know that you seem like your trying to find everything wrong with A2 because you are scared to use it. Its really good and this is coming from a prev kaspersky fan for 5 years. I finally went with something I wasn't very comfortable with. OA paid and A2 paid. I was a suite type of guy and never trusted seperate components. Until something bad happens i'll keep using it.

My main computer is GData IS with Mamutu. I won't change that. My Laptop runs NIS 2010 which is ok but not my favorite. I am thinking about using Outpost paid firewall (I have a license) with A2. I have the free license for A2. Just trying to decide what to do. I can always give it a try right?

Gdata already has a behavior blocker. Why are you using both? As far as using A2 and outpost you can give it a try and see what you think. It's free so what do you have to lose.

Should you decide to run Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro alongside Emsi Software A-Squared Antimalware, be sure to Disable the Real-Time Spyware Protection features of Outpost.

To have the best of both worlds, install Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro first, with ALL the features. Then Disable the Spyware Real-Time Protection in Outpost. Followed by installing

Emsi Software A-Squared Antimalware next, with ALL the features. This setup will allow the user to 'toggle' the Real-Time Protection features between both security applications.

Also, for whatever reason, should Emsi Software A-Squared Antimalware be manually disabled or uninstalled, then Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro will still exist the Real-Time Spyware

protection features without the chore of re-installing Outpost to regain the Real-Time Spyware protection features. Remember, even though the Real-Time Spyware protection of

Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro is disabled, Spyware scans, both scheduled and on demand, can still be run from Outpost. Also, even though the Real-Time Spyware protection of Outpost

is disabled, the Spyware Definitions will continue to be updated along with the rest of the Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro Hourly Updates, as long as the Spyware Module is installed.

    EDIT:
By default, Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro will Disable its Real-Time Spyware Protection Features during installation if Outpost deems incompatibility with other installed security solutions.

So, by installing Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro First, this barrier is overridden.

Good point. I have not seen GData's behavior blocker do much. Whenever a system change is about to be made Mamutu usually pops up, not GData. The two work without problems for me
