I'm running v3.0.1.65. It'll probably upgrade to the new build pretty soon?
The Check for Updates feature totally doesn't function in this capacity, as I'm sure you know.
What I see when "checking" is, "You are currently using the newest Prevx 3.0 software."

Never did see an answer to this one. Is there an 5.4?

Yes there is. You should get it via autoupdate soon or you can download it from the Prevx Site.

Sorry if asked and answered before, but seems my paid installation of Prevx3 only includes a trial of SafeOnline - I thought that with the version I have on 4 machines, it includes SafeOnline as a feature?

This is intentional - we will be releasing v3.0.5.4 or a higher version to the masses soon, but we're playing it safe as this is the largest change in Prevx history :)

If you could please send me a PM with your license key, I'll double check that everything is set up properly.

    Thanks!

What is the status of the new Prevx's compatibility with Norton internet Security 2010? I recall you mentioning some issues in the beta.

It is fundamentally compatible, however, we've had a couple reports of users being unable to use the Norton identity management tools with Prevx installed. We're still investigating this further but were not able to immediately reproduce it with v3.0.5.4.

Thanks so much - just sent you a pm.

BTW, if you need testers who use Sandboxie regularly to help test the tab feature if you are currently looking at it, please let me know...

    Thanks,
    Mark.

how come when I try to get safeonline as part of my licence it asks me to pay £24.95? I have 188 days left on my current licence and it appears other people here are getting the upgrade for £4.71. I've been in contact with support and they can only send me to a page where once I enter my licence key it asks for £24.95. That was after they told me to carry out a system scan and it should then give me safeonline without any payment.

It appears there was an issue with my licence key that has now been resolved.

    Thanks

SafeOnline is an additional product alongside Prevx 3.0 and is shipped as a trial/cut-down version by default. You don't have to buy another license as you still receive a good amount of the benefits of SafeOnline in the trial version or you can for a small fee (or if you don't want any trial-type software installed, you can completely disable SafeOnline by clicking Configure and then turning it off).

Those users are beta testers who, for their testing, received a license key. The SafeOnline product has a different interface from Prevx 3.0 but is the same underlying product - both have the antimalware components and scanning features and the SafeOnline trial version.

Let me know if you have any other questions :)

mhallerman was one of our beta testers but his license was not automatically updated properly.

    Hemingway,

For what it's worth, if it wasn't free, I'd gladly be paying for it. Not only have I found the 3.0 product to be well worth it's price, but the level of support provided by the entire Prevx team, from the support staff to the designers to the developers has been stellar and over and above any other company I have dealt with, technical company or otherwise, for that matter.

I assume my experience with the SafeOnline component will be ultimately just as good as it has been with the rest of the product - that said, when my licenses expire in the next 70 some-odd days or so, they will be getting my money for another year for a household of pcs - it's one purchase I feel good about and a rare one where I feel the people behind the product are truly worth the cost of it.

I know I sound like a shill for the company, but trust me, I have no affiliation with it, only that I believe in their products and abilities and respect their level of dedication to even a single customer.

    Best,
    Mark.

Sometimes safeonline configuration cannot open after bootup, click on the configuration has no response, need to relogin Windows to fix it, look like is a bug. Using Windows 7 & MSE.

Why have the following appeared under the 'Domain' field, see screenshot:

    *.paypal.com/*
    *.prevx.com/*
    *.cleverbridge.com/*
    *.amazon./*
    *.gov.uk/*
    *.gov/*
    *.mil/*

P.S. Joe, just in case you missed it. see my post here > https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=257037

P.P.S. Also, since reinstalling Prevx, I haved saved the scans that have run automatically, which I would be able to send by email to you, if you think they might be of help. ;)

Well,I found the answer to my question. :)

I clicked on 'Help' at the top right corner SafeOnline config page, and found the following on the online help page:

    - "Protection will automatically be populated for Prevx-configured domains, including Prevx, CleverBridge, and government/military websites."

Also, I was wondering if I qualify for an update as mentioned in posts at the beginning of this thread, for beta testers.

I have been using/testing and posting my findings,FPs, etc. since it was initally launched as Prevx Edge, last November.

My current license will expire in about 16 days time. If you you think my contribution is/was lacking, that is OK, and I will just continue with just Prevx free. I have never had any detections, other than FPs. ;)
