    Hardware router FW
    ** basics
    - NAT/SPI FW
    - WPA2 longest key possible (a sentence :)
    - SSID changed, IP address of router console changed
    - SSID is not broadcasted (so called inviisible)
    - Anti spoofing control on (all)
    - no ping respond from WAN side
    - UPnP disabled
    - changed names and password of Admin, removed User
    - added a PIN-number for WIFI device access
    ** trick bits
    - Mac Address control
    - Static IP addresses
    - Access to router (WAN/LAN) limited to our used IP addresses (others denied)
    - Inbound filter on our own static IP addresses
    - Open DNS basic used for DNS server IP addresses

    Internet Provider
    - checks e-mails (Avast :thumb: and Clam o_O)

PC1 - no questions asked family PC
    Real time protection
** running LUA (free no CPU cycles eating free security) on XP home
    - using PGS and FAjoXPFSE and msi-runas registry hacks
    - see https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=256561

** DefenseWall v3 as HIPS/FW focussing at threat gates and downloads
    - using Ie8 for "Safe banking/shopping mode" of DW
    - added keyscrambler free for IE8 (display scramble on tray icon only)
    - using Chromeplus for daily browsing (DW denies access to all data partitions) only allowed to access Temporary and Download directory

    On demand
    - A2 Free, using A2CMD for update every 4 hours
    - Hitman Pro free
    - Autostarts free (using save and compare to check new arrivals).

    Backup/Restore
    - external (mostly) offline harddisk) for monthly backups
    - internal old drive for quick backup (weekly)
    - paragon for image backup/restore (with recovery CD)
    - synchback for backup/synchronisation of data files

Seems a lot, but it boils down to one main application: DefenseWall

    PC2 - gaming PC
** All CPU cycles saved for gaming **
    - Vista64 bit UAC on
    - Norton UAC tool 64
    - PGS deny execute (is 64 bits)
    - Immunet 64 bits (only checks at installs)
    - IE8 as browser fully Micro-softened with Bing/MSN/etc

    - same on demands as PC1 plus Sanity Check anti rootkit for Vistax64

    PC3 - playing PC
** can be different tomorrow **
    - XP Pro SP3 - LUA (same as PC1 without Fajo and PGS)
    - Commodo Time Machine Beta
    - GeSWall Pro (currently limited to few nasties like PDF reader, Outlook Express and a SBIE recovery directory)
    - Sandboxie with Opera

No offense guys, But don't you get sick of changing the setup's all the time? It's probably doing more harm then good.

    PC3 - playing PC
** can be different tomorrow **

Active (security with near zero CPU load during normal operation)
    - Commodo Time Machine Beta (only changed disk sectors are logged, thats all)
    - XP Pro SP3 - LUA with deny execute SRP (OS internal mechanism)
    - Immunet free AV (only checks at program installs)
    - ChromePlus (--safer-pugins + Plus privacy options, with internal Sandbox)

    On demand
    - Hitman Pro (On demand analysis, cloud blacklist check)
    - A2 Free (right click enabled, A2CMD /Update through task manager)
    - Autoruns (save plus compare output)

I am not much of a Frank Sinatra fan, but when having this ultra light setup, this one core +3700 Athlon felt like a modern multi core CPU, this song came into my head "Come fly with me"

    - cold startup ChromePlus in less than 2 secs
    - warm start of ChromePlus in just a blink (less than 1 sec)

    Cheers

I've been looking for some replacement for the xp firewall and tried

    1. outpost free
    2. online armor free
    3. comodo with d+

    1. Felt a bit heavy, had too much restrictions and didn't like the fact that I had a question mark as a tray icon and couldn't keep that "policy" when running in background(hiding the tray icon). It automatically changes to block most and doesn't display any popups at all if I hide the tray icon.

    2. Was ok untill yesterday when it popped up some advertisement about the paid version. I don't need popup advertisements even if the program is free. There is no option to refuse these ads.

    3. Currently trying Comodo, feels pretty light and I configured the D+ to be less paranoid.

Dr.Web + Comodo it is for now.

Popups can be stopped by setting registry key “HKLM/Software/Tall Emu/Online Armor/NoNagScreen” to 1.

But read Mike Nash's reasons for the popup here - which might change your mind about disabling, doubtful lol. But it's nice to see an honest explanation about the reasons why!
