I just downloaded the free version of Driver Backup 9.0.
I am trying to install it on a Vista SP2 (32bit) portable

When I run the db9_express.msi ... it goes through the motions until I get to ,Registration' window. I have no registartion / product serial numbers

When I press 'Get Free Serial' -- the program stops abruptly with some message that the installation failed.

How do I get to install the free version of DB9?

    Thanks for any pointers

    Hello Mocco,

If you can send me a PM and I'll be happy to register the express version of the product to you. You'll receive an email shortly from Paragon with the product key and serial number. Please include your name and email.

When you click the Get Free Serial button the installer goes the end and you have to relaunch it to enter your Key/Serial once you receive it. I thought this behavior was corrected, but perhaps it was not. It should also take you to the registration web page. You may have an application or problem that is preventing the installer from launching your browser.

You can access the registration page here: http://www.paragon-software.com/registration/dbe.html

If you are unable to resolve the issue with this, please contact Tommy and he'll get you fixed up.

Tony, thanks for the registration page - that did the trick.

(Tommy, thanks for the offer to do the registration on my behalf - but once given the URL, the rest was simple enough.)

[I'll have to look into a possible problem of launching the browser from other apps.]

    Thank you both
